Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 So an illustrator will start work later this week on a new cover for the book capturing the moment we won the Premier League trophy. Simple question: what picture would you use as a basis to work from?
Fox42 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 The trophy being held by Claudio and Wes with the blue and gold ribbons on a white background made using watercolour would be nice.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 May 2016 Author Posted 10 May 2016 I hadn't seen this one. Although it doesn't show the emotion as well as some of the close-up shots, it does include most of the key players (Drinkwater, Vardy, Schmeichel, Morgan, Kante, Mahrez) as well as Claudio. This could well be the one.
StanSP Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 How about 'Champions'? A higher quality version of this from the stadium: Or a high quality version of the Champions banner used from the game before Saturday?
ScouseFox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 "we tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter..."
ScouseFox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 sorry fez ignore me im bored choose a good pic of the trophy presentation. tbh i am quite pissed off the best "whole squad" shots also feature the bald heads of about 5 photographers at the front too. get out the way you jerks. ie this first one. get your stupid cap out of our NG's face. this is the best "just the lads" one imo but like you said doesn't have all the boys in it. good photo though. maybe this one actually
Stevosevic Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 This picture is cool: Take a look at @@lcfc's Tweet:
smr Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 As posted above, I think this would make a great cover. the only problem if i'm nit picking is the camera on the left and the old lady clapping behind the players, otherwise it'd be even more perfect.

I think this is a fantastic photo but I'm not sure it'd make a great illustration. You can't see Morgan's face, Vardy isn't in it and it gives prominence to Dyer. It's the best picture for conveying the emotion of the moment but I don't think it would translate well to an illustration.
21st Century Fox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Maybe a bit of artistic license to move Claudio into view. I really like the look of anticipation.
Ricey Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 It's a shame they allowed the club photographer and Sky cameraman to get so close as they are front and centre in most of the photos. I've yet to find a full length, unobsecured photo of Wes lifting it.
Vlad the Fox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 That's being used for another book, 'All at Sea, the lonely life of a sailor. By H, Kane.'
Vlad the Fox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Think Wes might be going a bit far with the gold beard mind.
