He's had moments and situations where he's 'bottled it' in the past, but genuinely feel he's been harshly critisised and, in some cases, under-rated by a good proportion of their fans. Be careful what you wish for, etc. Indeed, look at United.

He's scored 16 goals this season to keep Bournemouth in the Pram League. Ie he's done exactly what he was signed to do. Which was the only point I was making. Over and out But you're not are you. You're claiming he's a good striker. Yes he's scored the goals to keep Bournemouth up, as many players have done on the past for their team, and then fell away and dropped down the leagues. It's a spell of 15-20 games where's he banged a few in, that's not proof of being a good player, it's a run of form. You're claiming he's not shite, scoring over half a season doesn't make you not shite, so he still might be shite. Get it? You wanna pick your stance and stick to it Col, makes this much easier. First you're barating people because they call him shite and you think he's not, next you're just praising him for scoring enough gosls to keep his team in the league which is a different discussion all together.
The Doctor Posted 13 May 2017 Posted 13 May 2017 Remember when Grant Holt scored 20 odd one season. Where's he at now?

I'll add though, Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney, Michu, Wilfred Bony, Charlie Austin, Sabido Berahino all scored a similar amount to King in one season and have either dropped off massively or moved on to a lower standard of football. And that's just since 2012/13.

Tuna Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Absolutely massive game tomorrow at Selhurst Park, win and Palace are safe and Hull are down, draw and Palace are safe and Hull need snookers to overtake Swansea. Hull win and it's all to play for on the final day with a 3 way fight for survival. From that point of view, I'm gunning for a Hull victory tomorrow. I think Fat Sam will play it safe for a draw, but this could be quite risky. Hull have got to win, it's that simple so it should be an open exciting game. I can't tell you how amusing it would be if Palace go down. The media were rimming Fat Sam 3 weeks ago after they beat Liverpool declaring them safe.
waylander Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Would also like palace to go down with there **** of a chairman we could poach zaha in for mahrez then .?

Fox92 Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Hope Hull win. Would love them and Swansea to get out of it and Palace go down.
Fox92 Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Last one at White Hart Lane. Such a great ground. I've enjoyed going there, a decent away day but a proper ground.
Matt Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Could Sky/The media rim Tottenham anymore? I really am sick of it and you struggle to get away from it as a football fan. I used to like Tottenham, not so much now but if it wasn't for the constant rimming I could take or leave them, not really have an opinion on them, but no Tottenham, Tottenham, Tottenham
AjcW Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 I really hope hull stay up because of Marco Silva, he's been excellent and actually made hull tolerable! Cant see it happening now though, although everyone said Swansea were gone when they dropped in the other week.

I'm not convinced we will to be honest.

You're ripping into people for calling him shite, he still might be shite. He might not score for another 20 games like many before him. Just cool then cockiness maybe? We should sign Lee Cattermole

Them and Sunderland have bizarrely decided to pick a bone with us. I don't understand why they hate us.
Tuna Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Palace team: Hennessey; Ward, Kelly, Tomkins, Schlupp; Milivojevic, Puncheon, Cabaye; Zaha, Benteke, Townsend. That defence looks dodgy to me and Hennessey always has a clanger in him.

I am just happy city found, a certain balance, and we are safe. Not forgetting we werent good enough through 2/3rs of the season, and that 40-43 pts, was a base line We struggled to reach.....And very importantantly, our actual football was turgid any abysmal, it made us The worst team in the league. In fact cringeworthy.
