The whole world smiles Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 The owners have been gradually changing our colours from blue and white to blue and gold, this has been stepped up dramatically since the we won the League. They are doing this because Gold is the colour of the royal family in Thailand and is considered a lucky colour. The obvious example of this were the ribbons on the trophy but there are other examples too for instance the new kit has no white in it what so ever and the frames they use to post photo's to social media have also changed. I'm not necessarily complaining about this but I just thought we as fans should acknowledge that this is happening/happened and talk about it as playing in Blue and White is a big part of our history.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 I'm a little concerned about this, being totally honest. I'm not fully worried as inside the stadium and with the club's flag displays, they tend to contiune to be blue and white. I think it's just about at an ok stage for the moment, but do not want us to drop our club tradition of royal blue and white. Ideally I would've like to of seen the PL trophy in blue and white ribbons, but that's not an major issue for me.
Wolfox Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Hah... Exchange 'first world problems' for 'we've won the league and have sod all to be grumpy about problems"
Rileigh84 Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 They can have us playing in pink for all I care as long as they keep pumping their cash into the club! Frankly, the blue and gold in my opinion is classy, elegant and a nice change from blue and white. The gold in the club's social media however is directly linked to us winning the league - I'd expect them to go back to blue in the new season.

It's also a colour in Buddhism that brings good luck I told people this a while ago and that they would try and introduce gold into the kit and for some reason they didnt believe me...
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 The positive thing is, is that the club are still incorporating the blue and white to a certain degree. Like I said it's just about ok at the moment. As a side note, I actually quite like the gold colour due to the good luck and success we've had with it, but at the same time it's important to keep a balance between blue, white and gold which in fairness the club seem to be doing at the moment.

I can just about live with blue and gold, but they better never touch the blue and white badge.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 I actually thought the ribbons looked nicer than blue and white
StanSP Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 I really couldn't care less. It's not like they've totally ditched the blue and white (away kit for this season). And, in all honesty, we could have been treated much worse and basically got insulted if they took blue out of the equation altogether (a la Tan at Cardiff). That would be a travesty and worth fussing over. They've not even taken the piss with the gold, though. It's not over-bearing. It's not the dominant colour. And for what they have used, it compliments the blue anyway.
MPH Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Too much gold for my liking Won't be long before we are called the King Power Elephants FC!! Only joking. It's not like foxes are really yellow is it? I mean... Its a little bit closer to what foxes are actually like...
4ever and ever Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 People do realise we have worn yellow and gold shirts long before these owners don't they?

Out Foxed Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 ever heard of fosse gold we've hardly been tanned http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/4401-fosse-gold-strip-most-popular/
Voll Blau Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 White should always be our secondary colour for me. Have gold as a third accent colour by all means, but something about the transition towards its prominence within our colour scheme at white's expense has left me feeling uncomfortable.

The ribbons on the trophy were blue and yellow; yellow is the royal color of Thailand. Incorporating gold into the team's colors isn't anything new and it's hardly the Thai elephant in the room; I think most folks can see this isn't the biggest deal, especially considering how great of a job the owners have done so far.
4ever and ever Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Not as a home kit we haven't. We have a gold home kit. I must be colour blind. People really must have easy lives if this is what worries them

I'd get that checked out before it gets serious.
