"Do the fans sing only when we have the ball? Oh, no, no, no. When we are under pressure, the fans understand our pain and they sing their hearts out. They understand the complexity of the game, and when the players are suffering. They are very, very close to us."- Claudio Ranieri

As we were shuffling out of Villa Park one bloke said to his mate accidently a bit loudly:

"We'll never win the league playing like that"

In a way that somehow managed to perfectly capture and combine the genuine frustrations of us having been doggo that day, the regret of that being a pretty poor result for any team chasing the title, and the incredulous notion that actually, it was getting to a point where we could believe it was a possibility.

Loads of people looked round at him but nobody had anything less than a smile on their face.

Beautiful madness.

similarly in the pub before newcastle there was a few of their fans and a few of ours having a chat. the usual "oh i want us to win to stay up but after today hope yous win the league for sure" and all that. and one of our lot simply said "well we're leicester, we can't just keep winning". stuck with me as a good'un did that. we just can't. no reason other than "we're leicester", it just don't happen to us.

Best quote for me was from a baggies fan I work with, he sent me a text while watching the villa match with his villa mates that read

"0-2 you boys are gonna slide now you should be taking prem more seriously"

I show him this text at least once a week and considering having it framed and sited above his desk
