New Contracts. Schmeichel and Simpson

Thought I would put it in here rather then the main forum as it isn't official yet but Simpson and Schmeichel close to agreeing new contracts.

Simpson seemed to have turned his life around and Schmeichel deserving of a new contract after nearly getting the golden glove, plus it will reasure him of his role after the new keeper signed. Bit of good news after a bad weekend.

You're right but unless he moves to Arsenal or Liverpool or any other "big club" and plays in their reserves, he'll never play for England

Would be very good news. Simpson at RB has been magnificent, especially defensively and Kasper similarly has been superb. Great boost for for us if these two confirm new contracts.

Incredibly pleased with Simpson signing a new contract. I'll go out on a limb here and say I think he was one of the best RB's in the Prem last season. I'll also go out on a limb and say I think he's a good lad, seems quite down to earth and always looks happy when around the other players. Hopefully after winning the Prem and settling into the squad he can crack on with his life without people bringing up the fact that he's had a few issues every time his name gets mentioned.
