Would we still love him? Jamie Vardy

Ronaldo was always a striker.

He's literally never been a striker up until the past few seasons with Portugal.

Yet another of the type of thread that will possibly have a negative effect in help Jamie make his mind up, it's a life changing decision he's been put in the position of making maybe not in our favour give him some space until we know one way or the other and give him your support through the Europeans..

no offence but he's more of a lost cause than any of us gave him credit for if a comment from "AKCJ" on "foxestalk" has swayed his life changing decision

Ronaldo was one of the best strikers in the world. And he played for Brazil not Portugal

I assumed you meant the Ronaldo that was actually playing during the same time as Torres. How daft of me

Messis better than Torres tho son

Yeah Messi was up there, but he played on the wing in a front three with Henry and Eto'o.

Well considering that Torres is a striker, anyone with any common sense would realize we are talking about Striker Ronaldo or Original Ronaldo that is unless you never watched Original Ronaldo and don't know who he is. One would have at least considered the possiblilty before pulling such s quick trigger of snark.

Don't worry, we will always have Morgan, thats all we ever needed and the reason why our club went from average championship club to top of the premiership club. DOn't soak panties over Vardy. Morgan is everything.

I said that Torres was the best in the world at Liverpool and you said that "He was no Ronaldo".

Of course I know who the Ronaldo was. He's the best striker of all time in my opinion, certainly the best i've seen in the flesh.

It's also crap. We aren't a one man team. We have gelled as a single unit. Amazingly well. You forget how shaky Morgan looked before we got Huth alongside him perhaps?

To lose Vardy won't be the end of the world, but it will make a difference, no doubt.

No offence, but if you just thought a bit more before you wrote stuff like this, it would make reading the forum more worthwhile.

No, because although transfers are a part of football I feel we have stood by JV when he wasn't scoring, arriving drunk for training, having outbursts in casinos and with the new contract he only signed in Feb he owes us at least another year. And he is not being fair by dragging his decision through the Euros. Whilst selfishness is not exclusive to JV his attitude to the fans,CR and the owners is appalling something I for one will not forget !!

Fair post

I would absolutely love what he did for Leicester, but i wouldnt love HIM, if that makes sense.

As far as I am aware, Vardy has not engineered a move to Arsenal. It was Arsenal that decided to match the release clause in his contract,

During my working life I was 'head-hunted' twice & left my employer to take up the offer of a new job with more money + benefits. If JV does leave City for Arsenal, that is what he will be doing & you can't really blame him especially if the figure of an extra £40k per week is correct.

I hope he will decide to stay put & imo the reason he hasn't announced his decision so far is because maybe he hasn't decided & he is giving respect to City & the chance & time to compete against Arsenal's offer/contract to him?

One thing I wish is that players wouldn't come out with "I will not be going anywhere, I love this football club, I am very happy here & we are a band of brothers etc etc"  Then along comes an Arsenal & those words are proven to be a load of bullshit!

I could never hate him if he does leave, but I will not be wishing him every success.

Am I the only one who thinks money is a perfectly acceptable reason for him to leave for a bigger club? He has been earning pennies for years, he hasn't had the lengthy spell of earning top wages that young pros have, and soon he will be retiring when he has a family to support. He has no hope at punditry let's be honest, I can't see him going into coaching, and I doubt he'll follow in Zlatan's footsteps and release a sportswear label. He probably doesn't have a chain of hotels or a vast property portfolio either. If he's thinking about getting as much as he can out of the last couple of seasons of his career then I can't blame him at all.

I stopped reading at the 'pennies for years' comment. Christ, get some semblance of reality! I can think of 80,000 reasons why this is just pants.

Yes, I'll always love him, aside from the fact we wouldn't have won the league without him he's given us four years of loyal service, in that time he's also been heaviliy criticised and instead of shying away and running from it he decided to work even harder to improve his game for the team, footballers like that are becoming a rarity in the modern game and they should be cherished, even more so when they not only deliver you trophies but deliver you trophies beyond any dream you ever had of what Leicester City could win.

I don't see why anyone would want to hate on these guys, for a start off you want to watch this season back in ten years without having it ruined by being upset by the guy scoring the goals that did it for us.

If he does go I think it will hurt us more than any other player leaving, his attitude, energy and workrate symbolises everything that our football club has become over the last five years but players will leave, when you win the league by ten points the biggest and best clubs in the World are going to want your players.

I won't hate him. I will respect and remember his good times with us. But I also won't forget him turning up drunk for training, his racism, and how the club stood by him.

I've got no problem with him going. I just wish he hadn't dragged this on for so long. At this point I actually don't even care if he goes or stays. I just want a decision to be made.

In all honestly I don't think Vardy gives a shit about what how he is perceived by City fans anyway.
