Footnote75 Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 I wouldn't love him, but I'd love what he did for the club.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Forever loving the players that delivered us success has no correlation to a "small club mentality" or going back to square one. I'm not really bothered if ANY player wants to leave this club, but I'll still appreciate what they did here. I rekon we're the only fanbase in the Country that isn't 100% behind people that gave us success. Are you for real?
Corky Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Yes, he's played a massive part in helping us win two divisions including our first ever top flight title. I've never seen a player work as hard on the pitch too. Booing him would be utterly ridiculous and unfair.
Petchy Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Of course, without a doubt he has earnt his place in our club's history as a certified legend for the role he played in this season of fairytales and I will always have a soft spot for him... That aside, I cannot hide that I'd be really disappointed. Even at this point right now, I'm a little peeved that it has gotten to the stage where he has reportedly agreed terms with another club and as a result our own club is playing catch up and trying to counter offer... no individual is bigger than the club and I'm just hoping that the spirit everyone has in that locker room goes unaffected whatever happens! I think with it being Arsenal too, it just seems to rub salt into the wounds as I've always had the impression that the current crop down at the Emirates are all fairly happy picking up an extortionate wage, with fancy haircuts and new tattoos every week, whilst not really delivering on the pitch. Vardy is so much better than that. No one could begrudge him a move to the real 'elite' teams in the world, but as of right now Arsenal just aren't among them for me.
EnglishOxide Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Yes. This isn't like Wayne Rooney holding United to ransom whe he's already on 200k p/w. Vardz started earning money late in his career and is having to think about his future, not just financially. We know where he has come from and what he has done. Simply by playing for Arsenal he has more chance of getting in the England team for the World Cup for example. That's not taking into account that Arsenal are more likely to be around the top 4 over the next few years than us. If he stays then great, if he goes then good luck to him. He will be the enemy but he will be doing what he thinks is best for him and not LCFC and the fans who he has already contributed 4 years of his life to.
theessexfox Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Man he could walk up to me and knock me out and I'd still love him, the guy top-scored and led us to our Premier League title, something I'd never even bothered considering.
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 for me it would be similar to liverpool fans and torres. for the summer id call him a cvnt and try my best to hate him. when he turns up at our place in an arsenal kit id call him a cvnt. id be delighted when his career went down the pan. but in a year or twos time when its all forgotten id remember what he did for us. how he played for us. id watch jamie vardy GOALS ASSISTS SKILLS 15/16 videos on YouTube when Im hungover. we'll all move on eventually, but for the next few weeks, after what he did and said, to ditch us for arsenal would hurt.
Sharpe's Foxes Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 If he left in This fashion no. Because it would be a villainous way to leave to a hated rival with a snake of a manager. And being the first to leave he would be blamed for the exodus of Mahrez, n'golo and company that would likely follow. This would be the absolute worst way for him to exit.

Torres is a little different though since he is Spanish and was ok but not legendary. It would be more like Gerrard leaving after they won the champions league to Man united.
Fox92 Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Are you for real? Which part of my post did you fail to understand?
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Torres is a little different though since he is Spanish and was ok but not legendary. It would be more like Gerrard leaving after they won the champions league to Man united. trust me before he left he was a legend. he was such a legend that he ratted them off to go to chelsea, failed miserably and most of them still love him now. that's my point.
jock2612 Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 No, because although transfers are a part of football I feel we have stood by JV when he wasn't scoring, arriving drunk for training, having outbursts in casinos and with the new contract he only signed in Feb he owes us at least another year. And he is not being fair by dragging his decision through the Euros. Whilst selfishness is not exclusive to JV his attitude to the fans,CR and the owners is appalling something I for one will not forget !!
Wymsey Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 After the season we've had, yes. But this speculation, will he/won't he, is starting to perceive him as quite arrogant and not helpful to the club - a club that gave him the opportunity, and made him at his true potential. And that's quite sad tbh.
Foxxed Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 I'd hate it having him celebrate in his inflammatory style against us. I'd auto-ejaculate seeing Kanté dispossess him, though. But he was massively important--as the rest of the team were--in one of the most fantastic footballing stories, not to mention our last four seasons. Can't forget that.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Which part of my post did you fail to understand? You're making it out as if nobody has the right to feel disheartened by what seems a money making exercise from Vardy. The fact of the matter is nobody is taking away Vardys enormous contribution to Leicester, but to say that we should all bow down to him even if he leaves is stupid. If he hadn't come out and said all he said about the band of brothers, him staying by Leicester and him not interested in money is a real stab in the back and Leicester fans have a right to feel infuriated and upset about this.
The whole world smiles Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 I will love every single member of the 15/16 team till the day I die, irregardless of what they do or who they play for. They gave me so much happiness and owe me nothing.

TheLittleBigMan Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 I'm finding all this a hard pill to swallow. Some of the other clubs that were in for him would have never resulted in him playing for his country and I doubt very much they would have tolerated him turning up to work drunk. He has what he has because he signed for us and although he played a blinding season for us he wasn't exactly on fire in previous seasons. Although we do need to wait til we have the full story, the fact he's allowing any of this in the first place tells you a lot about the type of person he is. 16 mil he would be taking off our club over the next 4 yrs but it's just not enough is it?? I tell you what should be enough, the fact he has what he has because of us, but that's probably just me living in fairy land. I would say cheers to him but he'll get no love in from me if he buggers off, I doubt he'd give a sh*t anyway. Up the foxes
AKCJ Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Torres is a little different though since he is Spanish and was ok but not legendary. It would be more like Gerrard leaving after they won the champions league to Man united. lmao Torres was once the world's best striker at Liverpool.
Sharpe's Foxes Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 lmao Torres was once the world's best striker at Liverpool. He was okay. No Ronaldo, etc. He was exposed at Chelsea.
scinnell Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 If he wants to go then I will still love him. Do not understand this bitterness. He could of left in January and we would of never won the league. Instead he agreed to stay till the end of the season and sign a new contract with a release clause. I am so grateful.
AKCJ Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 He was okay. No Ronaldo, etc. He was exposed at Chelsea. Ronaldo was and always has been a winger. Torres scored 18 goals in 22 league games in 09/10. Injuries and subsequently confidence cost him.
