Austria 3-0 Hungary

Portugal 2-1 Iceland

Looking forward to seeing Fuchs, also I wonder if Dragović is still on our radar.

These couple of games really could go either way - could be brilliant or really dull - (hoping for the former of course).

Just found out I'll be busy Thursday afternoon, (out of the office on a trip), so I won't be watching the match :(

Just for context, when we played Iceland, Bale won it on his own. So, yknow, if Ronaldo can't he's shit.

you know you're fcking shit when you rely on your one half decent player having a stormer to beat iceland.

Does Alaba just do what he wants for Austria?

Edit: looks like it. What a waste he is as a fullback. Should come here to play with Ngolo. Get it done Fuchs.

Good job that one decent player is one of the best players the British Isles have ever produced then really tbh.

Thought Futacs would at least be on the bench

yeah after that goal vs Burton I thought he was nailed on for a spot in the side!

Holy crap I forgot all about Marko Futacs. Jesus, he was still on our books as late as 2014.

Only 26 still. Seems like forever ago.

couldn't have won what we did without him tbf

For amount of goals scored, the tournament has been shocking so far really.

It's too cagey, too much not wanting to lose, than playing to win.

It'll open up with the second wave of games I suspect.

You're giving yourself the answer in your own post - first group stage games are usually a low-scoring affair, as teams don't want to risk too much from the start.

To be fair he'd probably do better than the current lump they have upfront. Not scored in club football since 2014....
