Did anyone else hear this last night during the game with Portugal. I thought it sounded fantastic and that it might be a nice addition to the noise at the King Power

Sounded fantastic on TV can imagine it's amazing in the stadium. We should pinch that and Sigurdsson while we're at it

Vikings came from Scandinavia, not bloody Iceland!

The lack of historical knowledge here is absolutely appalling. Vikings settled in bloody Iceland!

Jesus did you learn nothing at school. Icelanders are proud to call themselves descendants Vikings, the whole island has 100's of relics relating to their ancestors.

The Icelandic are the descendants of Vikings.

Leicester was part of the Seven Boroughs of Danelaw when the Vikings colonised Britain, so technically so are we.

'Ay up, me duck' is supposed to derive from 'se upp', an old Norse greeting, and duka, which is Saxon term for Duke. 'Thorpe' (Countesthorpe, Elmesthorpe etc.) is Old Norse for settlement.

Plenty of Viking history to exploit

Many Leicestershire place names are Nordic.

Groby means Grave Town for instance.  The 'gates' in town are from Nordic for street.  Leicestershire also has some of the highest concentrations of Nordic DNA in Britain.

We can justify the Icelandic war cry !!

Neither were Vikings

Are you being serious?

The settlement of Iceland was part of a wider pattern of Viking migration

Iceland is part of the region of Scandinavia...

No, not in the strict terms it's not. Norway, Sweden and Denmark make up Scandinavia. Add Iceland, the Faroes and Finland and you get the Nordic countries.

The Yanks were using this in their match against Ecuador last night, so its a no for me.

Although I always thought 'Thats the way we like it', was an American thing initially and that caught on pretty well
