Inler on his way

To be fair to Inler. Waste of money is harsh given his limited first team chances.

He was never going to replace a central midfield pairing which was top of the premier league for most of last season.

Not that i want to give him a chance in the side mind, we need him gone to free up some wages for N'zonzi/Camacho.

Have we still not got rid?

He's sitting on 50/60 k per week.

Ridiculous

At least he's willing to play in the reserves and still participates in training. Hardly "sitting".

Ridiculous. As per.

He was labelled a 'waste of money' last season....whilst not getting a look in against Drinkwater and Kante.

Only a guy like Col fool would suggest that he should have replaced either of the two.

So you would've given him a chance over Kante or Drinkwater? Interesting.....

More news now regarding the Premier League champions, with Skysources revealing that Gokhan Inler looks set to leave the King Power Stadium.

Leicester have had approaches from both Lyon and Besiktas for the Swiss midfielder, who hasn't played in the Premier League since last December.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has told Inler he can leave the club if the right offer comes in.

Signed for Besiktas on a 3 year deal. Source is some Turkish journo on twitter. All the best Gokhan!

If true good luck to him

frees up some wages for a new signing I would suggest

Wish things would have gone better or Inler here. He missed out on so much playing time, but was a consummate professional the whole way. And was part of a legendary team. Best of luck to him.

Had a decent game against Man City at home when we parked the bus and drew 0-0. Unfortunately he just wasn't up for the task overall.

I can't tell you how excited I was when we signed him.

So was I. I love a cool midfield player, a good passer of the ball. But in the Premiership, such a player must have the energy to go with it.

Unfortunately the reality is he's been a not inexpensive flop to be totally honest.

All the best inler! I stood at work refreshing my phone on the sneaky all damn day waiting for you to be announced, it was the most I'd been excited about a new signing here.

Allegedly having his medical in Istanbul today. Is rumoured to have taken the very first flight to Turkey.

If he goes there, I'll be somewhat disappointed because I thought at least he'd try and work his way back into the first team, especially given our shortcomings in central midfield. This is probably the best moment to make a name for oneself again, with European football on the cards, as well.

I wanted him to succeed at Leicester and in the end, all that remains are fragments of what appears to be a sportive tragedy.

Still, all the best wherever you go next.

Personally, I'd have gone to OIympique Marseille, where he could've helped reshape a rather young team and leave his mark on the sportive development.

Not sure how often we're going to see him in a Besiktas shirt this season.

This wasn't the best move for him a good player but not suited to the pace of the PL.

He lost his international spot as he wasn't playing regularly.

It would have been easy for him to spit his dummy out and sulk but he has been a model professional and team player.

He has my utmost respect and I wish him all the best.
