They often sound out people so they are in preparation in case someone ( Mahrez maybe?) leaves. It would be pretty poor show for them to sell Mahrez and then sit there round a table thinking " well bugger. now what do we do?"

Apparently journos over there were reporting we put a proposal of $24M on the table - this was a few days ago. Couldn't find a source so was all secondary through their fans.

I can see him going barca. He would be used as a rotational forward at barca just as he would here. 

 

Can't see us being able to offer him guaranteed football week in week out so we would offer the same package as barca just a bit more money.

I don't believe any of it. Certainly not that Liverpool suddenly made an offer. He certainly isn't worth €24 million. All the stories seem to be sourced from Brazil. This is the club and the player's agent trying to get us interested at a higher price.

 

This deal went cold weeks ago, because the valuation was stupid high. The club is trying to put it back on the fire, because they are broke and need the cash.

 

We just got Kapustka for under £10 million, spending for than 15 on this guy would be highway robbery. If Barca wants to throw money away, let them.

Like others have said I think this all seems to be the players agent. Other clubs take notice when he gets linked to us & Barca.

 

Sounds to me the player is trying to get himself & his client a big pay check

Gerimmin - finds excellent positions, good vision, quick passer, not afraid to run at people -has made an immediate impact to the game (I'm watching 20 mins behind). Pay £20 mill sterling NOW. Him and Mahrez would be disgusting
