Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 These one-year-ago-today things normally seem like yesterday. This one feels like a decade ago to me. We've packed a hell of a lot into a year.
Tuna Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Well these one year ago threads don't get old, do they. I look forward to the Ranieri appointment one year ago thread in 3 weeks time.
TiffToff88 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Well these one year ago threads don't get old, do they. I look forward to the Ranieri appointment one year ago thread in 3 weeks time. I hope that a year into the future someone starts a thread about how it was a year ago today that you announced your disliking for "a year ago today" threads
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I remember Pearson's sacking, and being both worried and sad. When Ranieri came in, I wasn't actually concerned and believed he was the man to take us forward. I predicted us to finish 13th and even thought to myself we may finish in the top ten. It was better than that, CR gave us a title to be proud of forever.
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Still think he deserves credit. The mentality of both the squad and staff at the end of last season was incredible. Unreal how much can change in a year.
Izzy Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Oh good. Another Pearson thread we can all fall out about..
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Oh good. Another Pearson thread we can all fall out about.. Doesn't everyone fall out with each other in every thread
AKCJ Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Oh good. Another Pearson thread we can all fall out about.. Good? Pearson?! No he was bloody awful and arrogant and abusive and and and grrrr!
FireFox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Still think he deserves credit. The mentality of both the squad and staff at the end of last season was incredible. Unreal how much can change in a year. Claudio could win us the Champions League and FA Cup and people would still credit it to NP.
Koke Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Great manager but a PR headache. That's how I will remember the great man.
ScouseFox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Great manager but a PR headache. That's how I will remember the great man. no offence but anyone who remembers the man who gave us our club back as "a PR headache" is a bit odd. my timehop is great from this day last year.
Koke Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 no offence but anyone who remembers the man who gave us our club back as "a PR headache" is a bit odd. my timehop is great from this day last year. He's a hero and one of our greatest managers for turning the club around. It's disingenuous to ignore his relationship with the media though, locally and nationally. But that won't be his lasting legacy for usHis legacy will be one of legendary status. But I'm not gonna ignore the stuff that happened.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 What a year! Wonder where we'd be if he hadn't been sacked?! Just off the cuff, my feeling would be safe mid-table
gerrytaggart Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Will always have a soft spot for our Nige. Honerable mention also for his solid hairdo.
boots60 Posted 30 June 2016 Author Posted 30 June 2016 Love the bloke. Hope he gets Derby up. First bit - matter of opinion Second bit - Hope he takes them down
GaelicFox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 The man is s loon But a good manager His role in last years success was emmence , your a twat to think otherwise #foundations
Soar Fox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Love the bloke and will be forever grateful for what he did for the club in both his spells here. I was gutted when I heard he was sacked last year. I thought all his hard work that him, his staff and the club had done previously would all be ripped apart like the Sven days. How wrong could I have been. People say about his media handling but personally I couldn't give a fvck how he treated them. He gave me some of my best moments being a Leicester City fan and for that I'll always hold him in the highest regard.
