pete1477 Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 All I read is doom and gloom we're champions for f sake and me for one after 45 years as a support of our great club ,were in the best position we have ever been I've got every faith in our great owners so come on cheer up this time last year I went to Mansfield this year I'm of to Celtic park so what's there got to be down about
Edingleyfox Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Yes I live nearer to Mansfield than Leicester and went to that match and we were not great as I remember. This year just go back from Sicily and they were selling Foxes shirts next to the Barcelona ones in the market - that is how far we have come.
pete1477 Posted 21 July 2016 Author Posted 21 July 2016 Your right ok couple have left but what comes in my be better ,look at the manager the doom on her when he was appointed was unbelivebla and what happened there's only one team with champions badge on there sleeve that's what
Poznan34 Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 When Southampton lost key players, it was annoying for them because of 'what could have been' ie. CL qualification etc if the team had stayed together. We've just won the league, it probably won't ever get better than this, so there's not much point being upset about not having '1 more year'. Add to that we've only lost 1 major player and it sounds like it'll stay like that. Steve Walsh loss should only affect us in longer term as you would imagine we have the 'list'. It's not that bad really.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 It's the right way of thinking. Yes there's no denying the Walsh move to Everton is not what we'd of liked at all, but talking as an overview the club is in a very healthy & strong position. We've got a atmospheric stadium which is constantly being invested into by the owners, a loyal fanbase, we're the current Champions of England, we've got a great squad, an excellent training ground, a classy manager and of course Champions League Football to look forward to. We can recover, I have faith in that. We've got all the foundations and attributes to become a real successful football club at this level, consistently.
pete1477 Posted 21 July 2016 Author Posted 21 July 2016 The good news is everything about our club look at down the road to forest we could have had that nob of a owner
dorsetboy Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Regardless of being premiership champions if someone just told you that you would spend nearly 30 million on two players you would have laughed so loud Gary lineker would have heard you from the BBC studios
Grewks Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Imo Shakespeare and Walsh contributed more to the premier league title than Ranieri. Cannot see Shakespeare staying now unless he takes over from the don.
biggs Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 There is no real doom and gloom....only perceived by the constant worriers that fill this forum.

st albans fox Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 The marketing dept have managed to send out a news email from early Feb!! falling apart everywhere !!!!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 The pessimists on the forum will always suck the life out of the giant strides the club has taken. We've won the premier league and have phenomenal owners, yet they focus on 2 departures , people with different but legitimate reasons to go! I will never understand this we're doomed negative bs and their mentality, each to their own though.

These are not people I generally associate with. #MoodHoovers
lnkstern Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 1. While I am bummed to see Steve Walsh leave, I cannot begrudge him for it. Moving up to director of football for a PL club is a massive promotion! 2. It seems to me that we just ended up as a stepping stone for N'Golo. He apparently had his eyes on bigger clubs all along. So I will just wish him good luck and watch him go out the door. However, I am still very optimistic for the upcoming season! It sounds like all the added players are quality, and more may be coming. I trust in Claudio -- he will find the tactics that work for the changed squad. Bring on Celtic!

TMELcfc Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 If you want anything to make you feel better, I suggest Sky Sports Premier League 2015/2016 season review... Sends shivers down your spine.
foxfan92 Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Makes me laugh and wonder how many people truly are Leicester fans on here?!? I can't believe people think that just because we won the league the roller coaster of emotions that every Leicester fan goes through every year will change. Only 12 months ago we'd gone from the greatest come back to sacking our manager and appointing someone with his reputation in tatters after a shambolic run as manager of Greece. One of the favourites to go down, the prestigious player who'd come in off to pastures new and everyone doom and gloomy. Leicester has always been full of surprises - full of high - beating Derby in the play offs - Martin guiding us to Europe to name a couple - and lows - cheating ref when we got to Europe - Watford in the play offs - relegated to the 3rd tier to name a few that stick out. When times look darkest we tend to do something surprising. I won't lie - I was praying Kante would give us one more season - although I always felt like he didn't look 100% happy here - not joining in the banter with other players etc. and maybe while he always gave 100% on the pitch he felt like he didn't belong. I've done well in jobs but not quite gelled with the staff and I've reluctantly moved on even forsaking a sizeable bonus once - just because I've felt I'd be happier elsewhere. I I hope we as a club have learned from Steve Walsh over the years and are able to continue his good work without him there. Personally I look at some of these clubs in Europe that find all these gems that other clubs pay a fortune for. I'd love us to utilise their scouting networks to find more players like Mahrez. Anyway i digress - even though I'm not sure I had much of a point to begin with anyway. I don't post on here much so think I'm getting things off my chest in one go. I understand people's frustrations - and love reading different opinions. Just hope people stop swearing or abusing people who've helped make last season so magical even if it would have been much better (in my opinion) if they'd given us one more season. I'm excited by the players we've bought or are lined up with. I've lost contact with people I used to chat to within the club (so no longer have any info - not that I ever shared anything I knew) - and am just enjoying supporting the best club in the world. Hope everyone on here can just relax and enjoy the ride too. There's lots more up and downs to come ...
justfoxes Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 So we've lost a decent player and Walshy but hey you're right we are English Premier League Champions,we are playing in the international champions cup against Celtic,Barcelona and PSG then we have Champions League football to look forward too. and yes we do have Claudio Ranieri and wonderful owners and it also looks as if we won't be losing anymore quality players and we have some more quality players coming in to bolster our squad and we have the ability to mount more than a half decent chance of retaining our title and have a successful champions league campaign. and those who wrote us off last year and will probably do the same this year can kiss our ( ! ) because we showed them we Can go toe to toe with the best and they know theyve been in a tough game with us ! So the future looks good for us it looks damn good for us and I will enjoy the forth coming season because we will prove that Leicester City are not a so called one season wonder we are here to challenge and not just make up the numbers!! COME ON YOU BEAUTIFUL FOXES ONWARDS AND UPWARDS AND IN CLAUDIO WE TRUST
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Also just looked on foxes youth Twitter who says that the two most under rated scouts in Dave Mills and Ollie Waldron means that the loss of Walsh may not be as catastrophic as you may think.
Bazly Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Reasons to be cheerful: 1, 2, 3, Grey Schlupp Musa The future is bright in blue!

You might well be right.......there are definitely some very strong pessimistic and optimistic posters who have over the top (subjective) reactions to almost anything.........All in all quite entertaining. 2 departures and the sky is falling imo is way over the top and ridiculous. Speculation is so often treated as fact
Tielemans63 Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 Also, Paul Konchesky is officially off our payroll!
