Hullfox Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Hi everyone, despite my current geographical location, the only team I have ever cared for is Leicester. In my 30 years in North Humberside, now East Yorkshire I have genuinely had nothing but loathing for Hull City and having given my son who was born here the option of supporting his home town club or the mighty foxes - you cannot begin to understand my relief that he chose our team during our league one campaign. However, Hull City are currently being killed by their owners and this is not right. We are so lucky with our owners at the moment and fooball needs all clubs whoever they are to be able to represent their communities and the supporters who will be there long after the keys to the boardroom change hands. A lot of Hull City AFC supporters aim to boycott the game against us such is the feeling against their own club that has resulted in their most successful manager quitting, no signings whatsoever being made since promotion and the club removing all concessions for senior citizens and juniors. I am am in no way advocating an lcfc boycott, we're far too good not to watch us play, I'd like to think though that we could show some level of support for the hcafc fans - After all, it is but for the grace of God that It is them and not us.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Hull are such a shit boring club, but the way their owners have behaved is pretty disgusting. I'd be gutted if that ever happened to us now after what we have achieved.
EnglishOxide Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Poor bastards are going to get Roberto Martinez too.
MC Prussian Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Their new main shirt sponsor is a Kenyan betting company and the local rag, which is distinctively resembling the club's webpage with its biased "exciting" daily Hull City AFC news, calls it "the most lucrative shirt deal ever". Sure. Btw, their previous shirt sponsor was Flamingo Land... ...
sylofox Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Rather help the trees or the sheep than these cvnts. But would not like to see them disappear as we do need someone to laugh at.
Bunyip Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Couldn't like or support anyone who had Pearson as manager.

Finnegan Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 They haven't always had my sympathy but they do now. I'm not saying Allam should invest but if he really wanted to sell, he could. He gave the fans a choice, name change or no money, they chose and that's for him to reinforce. But he should have walked away at that point and not just strung them along like a leech every since. If they vote with their feet he'll go. If they're stupid enough to give him money and turn up en mass anyway then god help them.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 I've said loads of times that we are very, very lucky to be owned by the Srivaddhanaprabhas, they are fantastic. It could quite easily be us in that situation had things gone differently so I definitely do have sympathy. As a football fan I don't want to see any clubs go to the dog's - even Hull.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Quite often pot luck with foreign investors, could have easily been us...
Muzzy_no7 Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Yeah I have zero sympathy. Their fans are a bunch of cv*ts

Some people really need to wind their neck in and lend a bit of support to other fans fighting bad ownership at their club. For every "mauled by the Tigers" weirdo, there'll be 10 decent Hull supporters who've been fighting tooth and nail for the last couple of years to even keep 'City' in their name. Just because we're lucky to (by and large) have decent foreign investors doesn't mean we should look down our noses upon those who don't.

The "exclusive" they've got was simply his open letter in full (rather short), which was riddled with hollow phrases and intentionally kept in a neutral form as possible, in order not to step on anyone's toes. Read this article and tell me it isn't articulated as if it had been put on Hull AFC's own website: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull-city-unveil-kenyan-betting-firm-sportpesa-as-new-shirt-sponsor-in-record-deal/story-29547699-detail/story.html Btw, I don't particularly like mocking Hull City, but they've had it coming for years.
m4DD0gg Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 The fact they came up over Wednesday is a travesty in itself.

Understaffed newspaper in 'rewriting press release that's not really a big deal' shocker. It's not great journalism but it hardly makes it the club's Pravda does it?

Sealing a deal with a Kenyan betting company tells you all there is as to how attractive a proposition Hull really is.

IainHumewasalright Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 If this was happening to the likes of Everton, Southampton, Bournemouth, West Brom, Watford etc etc I would be all up for supporting the away fans. I have absolutely no sympathy for Hull however. Them.... along with Cardiff, Coventry, Leeds, Millwall and Spurs all deserve each other
