What's wrong with some of our fans !

Leicester is a shit hole. It's a poor City, horrendous town centre and a large amount of poor housing estates.

With that, you are going to get a high percentage of people who haven't got much of a brain and it's quite evident when you go to the football in Leicester or away games.

I find it fascinating at away games that a certain percentage haven't even got enough brain to actually cope with reading their ticket and finding their allocated seat number and sitting in it.

Its like people have been let out for the day and although sometimes amusing watching the animals drooling from the side of their mouths, you sometimes have to be on your guard.

Went to Cov years back when someone was sitting in our seats, he started bouncing up and down wanting a fight when I stood there too and kindly asked him to move. He and his family didn't have the ability to find their own seats and you needed a bath when you got home from standing so close to them until they moved on.

It really is like a day out with the lower class, but as Leicester is a shit hole you can understand why.

I went to a Brighton game last season, away at Rotherham and you could really tell the difference between their fans and ours. Whereas we have lots of overweight, mouthy, smelly supporters who can't string a sentence together, they looked cleaner, better dressed, less obese and you could tell they came from a better area.

So I am not atall shocked that you saw grown men steal others t-shirts. I am not shocked either that Leicester fans pick fights with Leicester fans. I am not shocked with racist comments.  When you go to a Leicester away game it is really a case of taking your chances with the uneducated.

Not being harsh, you see it all the time, and if you can't you are probably one of them.

You my friend are an absolute tit. Probably a rich boy living off daddys trust fund, stay away from Leicester if you thinks its that bad and carry on watching your championship football

Sorry I'm too busy drooling to work out whether that was a joke or deadly serious. I've rolled around most of the estates in Leicester. Spent time along Melton Road. Hung out in the town centre and chewed grass with the herd.

All cities have their shithole areas but not all shits come from them.

The trouble with Leicester fans is that we've got too many who think they're in the bloody Gestapo.

Half the time r.e. the shirts being "stolen" it's just a complete misunderstanding.

Yesterday we went to see our seat before heading back into the concourse. We took the bag and our shirts back with us, including other things we'd got and some pathetic CSI Leicester wannabe shouted at us for it, thinking we were stealing them.

Some people need to take up croquet or sailing about in a dinghy on Rutland waters. That way you will avoid the " lower class " . Honestly just listen to your selves . Ranting on and on , when all you're doing is stating the bleeding obvious.

This is what football and it's fans are like . If you can't stand the smell keep out of the toilet.

Im winding up a little here though, cos it was a great rant!

To be honest i did not see any trouble what so ever all day. Spent most of the afternoon in that outdoor boozer at the premier inn and it was a great atmosphere.

In the ground we were in block 520 right at the front and every one was singing etc.

Leaving was easy although i suspect some of our fans need to learn how to read a tube map.

Show me a city that doesn't have shitholes?  Paris is beautiful but stray a little and you're in bandit country. London has some fabulous cultural areas and cosmopolitan spaces, but go too far and you're literally walking a fine line.

Sports like football were adopted by the 'lower classes' many moons ago. You can't come tottering in with your Gucci shoes, stalk of champagne and prawn sarnies and not expect to be treated to a dose of reality. That's life my friends. It's rich, varied and sometimes a little smelly.

Nah

Not the nicest place to live in England but there are very, very few city's in England that are geniuenly majority nice affluent areas, and even they have the scum contingent hidden away somewhere (heard someone mention Brighton, Whitehawk Is rough as) there are certainly a lot that are worse than Leicester, Leicester is pretty average really.

He's post is still hilarious though and certainly plenty of truth in it.

Col i have been (as I am sure you have) many cities around the world and they all have good areas and shitty areas

are we any worse than anyone else?

I actually read an article some years ago that statistically had parts of Leicester as the 2nd poorest or most deprived in the whole of Britain (Glasgow I think only beat us)

there are good and bad in every city and every estate to be fair

Same here matey. If my memory serves me rightly, St.Matthews was in the top ten of the country's most deprived areas at that time. Listen, I was exaggerating really. I just thought the rant was funny as fook. Pablo's post above is spot on.

I just couldn't resist adding to the rant a little.

Had clowns on the train back to Leicester from St Pancras using foul and abusive language, was with my 7 year old and had to tell them time and time again to stop using it. The level of intelligence and respect for others in some of our fan base is absolutely frightening.

Isn't that the truth!

I've got some sympathy with the OP, but equally my experience when travelling to away games, is that its odds on that you are going to sit next to some very pleasant and polite people, because that's what the majority of fans are. There is also a much lower probability that you may end up next to, or close to, some utter shite who have no respect for the club, the players, of their fellow fans. This small group are very vocal about the fact that they are 'Leicester till they die' but in reality they are a blight, not just on the club but on society at large. Lets just remember that its the minority and not just the majority

Lots of this going on !

Yet i I was surrounded by fantastic Asian fans , I mean proper on there feet giving it socks supporting the lads !

Soemtimes when I'm away from home and listening to the morons i I think our world famous cultural harmony in the city is a veneer

I don't think it is, just because there was a few morons shouldn't take away from the 99% who aren't.

Spot on

27000 travelled up, some who wouldn't normally be part of the away day, so a few idiots will tag along.

On the whole the vast majority just enjoyed the experience.

Shocking, especially after you've asked them to stop and more than once. The level of respect of people in general is terrible, not just football fans. Hope you had a good day apart from that.

Yeah he had a great day. Shame about the result but loved watching the boys at Wembley 16 years since I was last there.

It became quite apparent that swearing was just their natural vocabulary and that they use the C word, F word and S word as an adjective, verb and adverb every other word unfortunately.

I was disgusted by a number of fans walking up Wembley Way along with/either side of the UFS guys (I'm not saying it was them) - sticking their fingers up in the faces of Man U fans, including a family with their grandma who was easily in her 80s. It was an absolute embarrassment.

What's wrong with some of our fans?

Big shout-out to the 50-60 year old guy with 'Lee 9' on his back who I was sat next to.

Every other word he uttered during the entire game was a variant of 'f***' and he constantly berated Okazaki, Simpson and Albrighton, even after they had been subbed.

Absolute misery guts. Don't know why he even bothered going as he was in a terrible mood throughout the game.

Lee, if you're reading this, cheer up! I hope you managed to crack a smile when we won the league.

trouble is, our recent success has attracted a new breed of middle class fan, who doesn't understand that there is a percentage of football fans especially of inner city teams from working class areas like Leicester that are male, rough and drunk.

A lot of this new support have probably not been to many away games or drank in pubs or in parts of the ground where they have to mix with the more old school fans and we're probably quite shocked with all the groups of lads full of testosterone and larger.

At the same time the more rougher elements of our support probably sit in places like L1 or K1 and drink in places like f bar and go to away games and stand all game and probably didn't realise that they are no longer representative of our fan base at large.

So Wembley with everyone mixed in together was always going to be a bit eye opening for both sides.

Leaving the ground I saw a group of 4 man u fans arguing about rugby union with a couple of blokes in matching city tops the man u fans were Gloucester fans and the Leicester fans were singing 'leicester tigers we are bigger than you' at them. It doesn't take a genius to realise football fans are changing.

Luckily didn't see or hear anything of the sort. I always think positively about our fans. Maybe I'm being naive but maybe a lot of these were drunken day trippers who don't really represent the club on a regular basis? Wishful thinking perhaps.

I agree and disagree with the guy, I agree most fans don't bath but I would say this behaviour happens at home games aswell
