Thank you for the days

Those endless days those sacred days you gave me

I'm thinking of the days

I won't forget a single day believe me

I bless the light

I bless the light that lights on you believe me

And though you're gone

You're with me every single day believe me

Get this going guys! Amazing

I'm welling up at the thought of hearing it out loud

Absolutely this..... would be brilliant

City fan since early Seventies. Long time reader here, but this is my first post here as I think it’s important to honour the man who brought so much joy to all of us with a special chant.

With respect, WYS often gets lost. Half the crowd are at a different pace and the other half don’t know all the words. It’s also not specific to Vichai.

All the other chants people are suggesting are getting complicated.

How about something really simple - our own version of the Viking thunder clap:

Drummer in SK1 gets it started and holds the beat for crowd to sing:

VI - CHAI - (CLAP)
VI - CHAI - (CLAP)
etc

A Viking warrior chant to honour the dead. Simple. Easy. Powerful.

If WYS gets lost their is not a chance this would not.

Only works successfully with a capo.

I like it and this would work and would be a very powerful gesture! ..... guaranteed everyone in the whole ground would join in.

VI (BOOM BOOM) CHAI

VI (BOOM BOOM) CHAI

If they can not hear the drum they only need to count to two in their heads!

We're not going to copy Icelands viking clap, (as good as it is)

Just does not suit Leicester or any English fan base. Everyone would be out of sync.

Long time reader, first time poster, first game 93. With respect, I felt compelled to create an account just to say we shouldn’t do the Iceland clap at Cardiff.

Wales adopted this after Iceland did it at the euros and as such also use it as a bit of a jib at the English. They also may well deny that(!) but all the same it would be a little odd to do it, as Wales predominately use Cardiff City Stadium for home games.

Let’s keep it original.

I’ll be singing WYS and I very much like the idea of Days. Either way I’ll sing my fking heart out.

The first couple of verses from 'Days' by The Kinks, later covered by Kirsty McColl.  Easy to sing and unmistakably a tribute.

That is absolutely perfect and just thinking about it made me well up again.

Maybe for the 2nd verse:

”I bless Vichai

I bless Vichai our favourite Thai believe me”

Sorry - I’m obviously not explaining this very well.

VI - CHAI is chanted on the drum beat.

No counting or keeping time necessary. Just chant VI - CHAI on the drum beat. Then clap.

Couldn’t be simpler to do. (Or more complicated to explain evidently!)

To be honest I wouldn't alter it, the meaning is clear and I feel the 'I bless the light' line is quite symbolic and moving.

Surely we could do something with this song?

https://youtu.be/yUMAmI5YcBQ

We've got, top at club, he is, part of the family
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world

Or

We've got, top at club, lookin', after the foxes
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world

Vichai,

Vichai,

Vichai.

He took us into Europe,

Europe,

Europe.

As Champions of England,

England,

England.

And we'll never forget him,

Forget him,

Forget him.

Wooah wooah wooah

Wooah wooah wooah

To the tune of the Ranieri song during the title winning season. Not overly original but simple enough that everyone would join in and would sound inpressive as it did during the title winning season.

To the tune of the golden girls.

Thank you for being a friend

you helped win us the league and got us into europe again

your heart was true blue, you were a pal and the chairman

you if you threw a party

you knew all the fans would come

you would see lots of gifts from the fans

and all the banners would simply say Thank You

Thank you for being a freind to Leicester

I’m going to get lynched for this, but Srivaddhanaprabha is pronounced See-wat-ta-na-pra-pa, so it scans perfectly with Queen's Radio Ga Ga:

All we hear is radio ga ga
All we hear is radio goo goo
Radio what’s new?
Someone still loves you.

Which becomes:

We love you See-wat-ta-na-pra-pa
We love you See-wat-ta-na-pra-pa
We love you Vichai
Vichai we love you.

I can’t get this out of my head. I'll step away from the internet now...
