I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody last night, and the emotion came over me when they sang 'We Are The Champions', memories of that wonderful season, and i thought we could just change the words, instead of 'We are the champions' we could sing 'Vichai's our champion'. Just think it would be simple, and effective. The PA could belt it out and when it came to the chorus fade out and leave us to sing it out!

The only way people are going to learn the words is if they actually hear it sung in the first place.

 

It's not complicated, and there's as much motivation as there's ever gonna be for people to get involved in the tune. If it doesn't get going now, then there's not much point in it even being our club anthem, frankly.

 

 

Conversely, if WYS is sung and sung well, I hope that it doesn't just become a one-off for Vichai. Being able to have a proper club anthem that brings us all together every game would be a brilliant way to honour him and his legacy.

Wasn't the case on Saturday. Was thankfully sung slower than usual.

Yeah, bit of sacrilege with that song really

Liverpool manage ok with ynwa

I suppose its a bit more sasy with timing for them when they have a merseybeat version to follow

 

Would be magic if it could be something like the pace Louis Armstrong sings it at

When You're Smiling should be sung straight after the roar subsides at kick-off and in the 60th minute in every game from now on.

 

It's our club anthem and our tribute to Vichai- if you don't know the words, spend 2 minutes learning them.

I wonder if the club will make use of the new screens and put the words to WYS up. Either that, of have it on the back of the special program/clappers or something.

 

It shouldn't be necessary, but to have the best chance of getting everybody involved, why not?

Not sure if it would take off, but thank you for posting Swift - I enjoyed listening to this classic from Ol' Blue Eyes!

Just added a bit to make it authentic Filbo Kop (pre and post pens).

 

Somehow the tune seems to have been lost a bit. Agree with others that it's sung with too much aggression and needs to be slower.

 

Liverpool and Celtic only perfected YNWA by singing along to Gerry and the Pacemakers over the PA. The club need to do this for us pre-kick off after the player announcements instead of Hey Jude. This could the time for our song to be finally moved over from Filbert Street. Love it.

They have been asked to do this countless times, bizarrely they don't seem to want to implement it.

Heard this from L1 but couldn't hear the middle verse. Sounded class. It's a good Melody too
