"Inler no number" I know it might be argumentive, but if we go out for any player for that area, then surely for a player who can offer more, or younger and not comparable. I believe now, we should be looking for players who 'can' take us that step further. Competition for places thougzts at his level, is not necessary. Not for 20mil.

pazzerfox Posted 28 August 2016 Posted 28 August 2016 McCarthy is a good player and still quite young. Don't forget, he and Barry were at the heart of the Everton side that amassed 72 points in 2014! Great attitude, extreme work ethic and would fit in well with the group. I'd welcome him with open arms.

Stood amongst several Everton fans when we played them at the end of last season and they all agreed that he was their worst player. Obviously though their whole team had a reasonably poor season last year by their standards.
