Yeah 1 0. Serbia went down to 10 as well. 

They annoyed me towards the end as they kept taking shots from so far out when chasing an equaliser in final few minutes and none of them hit the target.

Will take that this evening after hard game in which Moldova defended well, their goalkeeper apart. King played ok to be honest. Woodburn is class and we deserved the win. Would have preferred a draw in Dublin. Da iawn Cymru!! ?

We're still out really. Draw for Serbia would have been better, gives us a thin hope of winning group. 

 

Whoever comes second in our group is probably going out tbh.

It has come to this ... massive relief over staying in the running for the last automatic CONCACAF spot.  Damn, we've been poor.

Totally forgot about the match. Of course it was at 5:30 pm here, so that's mostly why.

I always like to see a few countries qualify that have never qualified before or at least not for decades.

 

So, possible unlikely contenders....

Europe: Montenegro, Iceland....Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland

S. America: Peru

CONCACAF: Panama

Africa: Burkina Faso, Cape Verde Islands, Egypt.....Zambia, DR Congo, Uganda, Gabon (outsiders)

Asia: Syria

A tournament without Argentina would be strange though.

Next match: Argentina v Peru (!), then Peru finish at home to Colombia

Chile have Ecuador (H), then Brazil (A)

 

So, even if Peru lose to Argentina, a win v. Colombia (who'll probably have qualified by then) should be enough for them to make the play-off, provided that Chile don't beat Brazil. Could go to goal-difference, though.

 

A repeat of the 1978 World Cup Finals Group is still on........Scotland, Holland, Peru & Iran :whistle:
