This is very sad to hear. He used to call us at RL on a regular basis. Throughly nice guy to chat to.

I was going to ask this. Can always remember a 'Peter' from Stockport phoning in.

Just watched lcfc v Burnley front the 66/67 season on BT sports

5-1 to us

Banks, Rodriques 1, Sjoberg,  Cross, Norman, Sinclair 2, Roberts, Gibson 1,  Goodfellow,  Stringfellow1, Dougan.

Thought of Stocky whilst watching as I bet he was there as was I.

RIP. STOCKY

You saw the best, worst and most sublime.

Very sad news indeed.

I met Pete once, at Preston North End away, some three, four years ago. Lovely man, but I remember him telling me then already that he was rather ill and wasn't expecting to live that much longer. He was that honest.

We used to have good arguments on FT and he came across a level-headed, insightful and utterly dedicated to the cause.

I think he used to post on Bentleys Roof and was occasionally on Radio Leicester as well. He always came across as a real gent.

He was always tremendously well informed and passionate about our great club.

Sincere sympathy to all of his friends and family.

That made me think...I hadn't seen Stocky on here for a long time....

RIP mate.

It's hard to respond to such sad news with any words that seem to be appropriate. I never knew Stocky, but read his posts. He seemed to have a broader view. A bigger perspective. I may have missed it, but I don't recall him having a tantrum if we lost or played a formation he disagreed with. He just seemed to enjoy the journey that we are all on; one that's bound together by a common  love of this great club. A sobering reminder of

for all of us our own mortality and just why we should embrace the precious moments that occasionally come our way. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

There is sometimes a post on FT that, when you read it, you know it's come 'straight from the heart'

This is one such post.

R.I.P Stockyfox - Very sad news and my thoughts are with his family and friends. I'm glad you managed to witness us becoming English Champions and qualifying for the Champions League.

Thank you for letting us know.  I met Stocky a couple of years ago through this forum and last saw him when he came round to my house a few days after we won the league to chat and celebrate - whilst he was a generation older than me, we always had a great laugh due to our mutual passion.  When he last visited, we laughed and joked in disbelief that our beloved club had actually won the Premier League.  Very sad to hear of his passing.
