deep blue Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Just to inform that @stockyfox passed away unexpectedly just recently. Stocky lived in Woodford, Stockport, but was raised in Coalville and was an avid fan for 70 years. At least he lived to see our club's greatest triumph. Stocky had a huge amount of LCFC-related information and memories dating back to the fifties, which he shared with many supporters through various means, and was a regular contributor on talk-ins. His outgoing nature meant that he had formed contacts within the club as well as with other fans. He was active on both Foxestalk and Bentleys. I met him through Foxestalk 4 years ago. It has been great to find another Foxes fan livIng close to me, with whom I could watch matches and travel to some together. He will be sadly missed. If anyone who knew Stocky would like to know more, please PM me.
Fox92 Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Wow. I swear I only saw him post a few months back. I never met him but saw his posts on here obviously and always come across as if he had decent knowledge after games.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Sat with him at a table in corporate hospitality at Macclesfield a few seasons ago. A lovely, knowledgeable gentleman. RIP

JasonBourne1986 Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 This is very sad to hear. He used to call us at RL on a regular basis. Throughly nice guy to chat to.
EnderbyFox Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 RIP. Perhaps we could have an In Memoriam section of the forum to remember deceased members, @Mark ?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Always sad to lose one of our own, and i'd taken note of his posts on here as someone who could speak with experience and knowledge. RIP
deep blue Posted 6 October 2016 Author Posted 6 October 2016 If there is anyone on here who is also on Bentleys Roof, could you please relay this news on there? I have tried to register on Bentleys but have failed miserably. Thanks.
Wymsey Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Serious . What was his name? I enjoyed his deep insight on particular football topics. Even when he hadn't posted for a while, I occasionally looked at his profile to see if I had missed something from him. RIP.
