Guest Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Hard to think of very many who would step up to management, as most will earn enough money playing that they'll never need to become managers to earn a living. I could see players like Fuchs, Terry or even Joey Barton being driven or passionate enough to give it a go. But whether they'd be any good is another question entirely...
Soar Fox Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 I could see Kasper Schmeichel wanting to give it a go. When you hear him talk he always sounds passionate and has a real love for the game.
Soar Fox Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Just now, shen said: Esteban Cambiassoooooo He managed us in the 14/15 season remember.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 If Wasyl told you you were an ostrich, you'd give up on life, move to Africa, cover yourself in feathers and work on getting flexible.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 It's hard to tell but off the top of my head... Schmeichel, Albrighton, Cambiasso, Fuchs, Terry and Ibrahimovic.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Albrighton has the intelligence and emotional range of mayonnaise. If he's ever a top manager I'll eat my own hands.
RowlattsFox Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Pretty sure John Terry will give it a go at some point, probably be a number 2 at Chelsea first. Joe Hart seems the sort who will get a job and just shout at people. Iniesta will probably be groomed into Barcelona manager. Don't really see anyone in our squad as managers, Morgan could be a manager in the lower leagues, it would be great to see Huth as a boss.
foxy boxing Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 i'm sure a lot of players are good managers on fifa on the playstation, bit different in real life. whether they can tell the difference
Bayfox Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 From our current side, I agree Kasper may give it a go, not sure he would be any good, but he seems to be able to now balance the passion and showing some calm/maturity. Fuchs, whilst I think he may have the intelligence, I also think he's intelligent enough to not bother although I suppose if he plans to stay in the states for the long term, the pressure would be less, he would make a good coach, that's for sure. After that, Esteban I'm sue will give it a shot, he must have gleaned some quality knowledge after the years and managers he's had in the game. I don't see the John Terry thing, he'd soon get caught out for nailing the next generation of WAGS Joe Hart reminds me a bit of Kasper as well, maybe give it ago but fail, there's a few from the continent I could see having a crack, Lahm, Muller, Pique, Xavi, but I guess it all depends on if they want the hassle, they are never gonna need the money that's for sure.
MPH Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Bruno Berner would make a great manager one day....
GaelicFox Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Conrad Logan would make a fine Burger King manager one day

AKCJ Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Michael Carrick has manager written all over him IMO.
Alf Bentley Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Fuchs? Has the intelligence, articulacy & seems immune to stress....sounds as if he might like to avoid the graft and enjoy life once he stops playing. Potentially a very good, amusing pundit. Nuge? Has the drive, personality & organisational ability Kompany? Captaincy experience at high level, seems thoughtful in interviews Gareth Barry? A lot of drive, experience playing in a lot of positions Snodgrass? Seems driven yet a thoughtful bloke

Hardly manager material. Schweinsteiger, if he chooses to go down that road, has a lot of the right attributes to manage at a high level I guess...
MPH Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Wayne Rooney Although its pretty disgraceful to call him a current player....
The Blur Posted 11 October 2016 Posted 11 October 2016 Kompany, Xabi, Xavi, Iniesta and Silva- funnily enough they all have played under Pep now. Out of English players, I would say Cahill. Speaking of Iniesta, it is his 20 years anniversary at Barcelona this week! Impressive stuff. P.S I just re-read the thread title, I do not think Cahill will be good but I do think he would be interested in having a go though. Got a funny feeling Messi would want to be a manager too.
