Copenhagen pre match.

This will be a lot trickier than a lot think, their home atmosphere is going to play a significant part. Avoiding defeat would be fantastic.

Are we better than them man for man? Maybe, the fact we raided their best player off them who has turned out to be hit and miss for us suggests probably so, but they're experienced campaigners in this competition. Either way it should be a great game, absolutely buzzing to get out there now.

At our place they seemed to be quite a resolute team. They're a good side but hopefully we can progress into the next round.

It should be a cracking game!

Leicester didn't actually raid Copenhagens best player but rather Daniel Amartey.

Copenhagen's best player went to Feyenoord this summer and is already the top scorer in Holland: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/dutch-eredivisie/top-scorers

Daniel's a strong player but I think most people were surprised to see Leicester pay £6 mill for him only a year and a half after going to Copenhagen for £2 mill.

Still, a good chap, I hope he will do well for you and hope you will have a superior time in CPH!

Hoping the fact they are the home team will open them up as they search for a win. Reckon this could be good for us as we start looking like our old selves, going to be such a tough game but I am buzzing for it! Get me out there!!

Would take a point now. Beat brugge at home job done.

However if last seasons city turn up. Onus is on Copenhagen at home to have a go. Then we spank them on the break.

Hope that you've put them right on this. Copenhagen are smaller than every club in the Premier League (and many in the Championship). Have they sold all of their tickets yet ??

Just wondering which list you've got that from?

Checking UEFA's club ranking, there are Premier league clubs below FC Copenhagen on all of them.

According to Bloomberg, in 2007, FC Copenhagen was the most valueable Club on the stock market in the world, topping Arsenal and Juventus.

FC Copenhages stadium has around 20% more capacity than the one of the English Champions.

Not saying it's the biggest club in the world.. But it's not microscopic either ;)

I see as being tricky if we match up with a 442 against there 442 simply because their home ground is a fortress and reading about the fans and club link they seem to really turn it on for them. However, a 451 with that protection and numbers in midfield and I think we would be OK. I think Musa and Mahrez would do so much damage on the break as they attempt to go on the front foot, something that looking at the table they must do if they want to progress.

I also think Vardy should start ahead of Slimani once again but I can see CR dropping Vards for the rested Slimani. I know I read he had a slight niggle for Spurs but am not sure I believe that to be accurate. I think he was just rested.

Anyway, 451 and we beat them 3-1. 442 with Vardy, Mahrez, Musa and Slimani and it will be a more difficult night and a 2-2 draw!

Curious to see what strategy Ranieri will deploy. Slim in for Vards is probably a definite, if fit.

They will have to chase the 3 points, so do we sit back and counter? Are we still decent on counters without Kante and Vards?

Do we use hoofball as a intentional but ugly strategy, as per the previous game where it provided the goal, to bypass their midfield?

Or do we try to play it on the ground but with ridiculously quick pace and a PL-like tempo that they may struggle with?

it'll be interesting either way, two sides that respect each other equally. great to enjoy the game without the must-win pressure.

Hi all LCFC Fans,

I'm really looking forward to this match- the atmosphere in Parken is magic every time we have these sold out Champions League matches. I guess that it's gonna be a very close game- it can go both ways 1-0 or 0-1 but I think that both teams more or less is satisfied with a draw, so I'll put my money on a 0-0 or 1-1 result.

uefa.com had this pre match article some days ago with lots of background fun facts

http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/matches/round=2000783/match=2019342/prematch/background/index.html

Our 2 strikers are scoring goals at the moment- just the other day they scored 3 goals combined in our 3-1 win against nr 3 in the Danish League.

Santander broke his cheekbone when he scored in our CL match at home against Brugge- he got kicked in his head. Then he got kicked in his head at King Power in our previous match and then again when he scored his second goal in our match 2 days ago. He's a Paraguayan mule - nothing can stop him :-)

Completely forgot Van der Vaart is at FCM. How is he doing there? I wonder what kind of wages he's on at FCM because he's been a relatively high earner for a long time.

What sort of crowds do you get for league games out of interest?
