UPinCarolina Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 With the starting line up we rolled out, we knew it would be a difficult match. I don't think anybody, starting from the hour before on to the kickoff, thought that we would wax the floor with them.
yorkie1999 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Drinking and smoking at your seat is the future. None of this fans going for a drink at 35 minutes rubbish.

Dan Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Mind absolutely boggles at how bad our end last night was.

Well, to be fair, most of our lot stopped singing after realising what was supposed to be a 10 minute stroll to the ground was really a 25 minute route march after being on the lash all day
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Yes it was the worst I have ever known. Disgraceful and embarrassing would not be an exaggeration. I actually managed a 5 minute solo...that should not be allowed to happen on any level believe me. Was it because it was 95% normal West Stand occupants who generally don't get involved in that stuff?

The Copenhagen crowd is known for totally discouraging their opponents with their loudness, it even happens at away games. It's not just you guys, and to be frank, I managed to hear 2-3 pissed foxes on tv a couple of times shouting "come on Leicester" very near a microphone! It wasn't all in vain

harpendenfox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Noise was good on the walk to the ground too. Was it a case that different groups in the end couldn't hear each other due to the effort of the CPH fans so we never gained any momentum?
MrSpaM Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Oh c'mon people saying it's the worst you've ever heard, how long have you been going to games for? 2 weeks?

Nobody at the back would of heard them but I'm amazed it didn't creep up the stand.

st albans fox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 The group at the front were at it almost non stop with the drum but was tough to hear exactly what they were singing! there were about three other groups spread around which made it a problem to get everyone together. Brugge was far more compact so I imagine everyone could hear what was being sung and join in.

I think the performance of other English sides in Europe (against opposition they should be beating - so not Man City) points to what a good result that was. And our fans came across on the TV.
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Ultimately we got the draw we wanted but I do feel we approached the game in the wrong way. We defended reasonably but they were better than us I felt. I'd have stuck with 4-4-2 or at least changed the personnel in the 3-5-2. The lack of subs was an odd one too. Oh well, it was good enough
Footballwipe Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 It was a terrible end. There were a group of lads around us bragging about a couple getting in ticketless and taking selfies and on constant Carlsberg runs than watching the actual match. They also left on 80 minutes because they were convinced they wouldn't be let out on full time? That seemed to set the tone; felt like a lot were marvelling at the fact they had a pint in the stands than focusing on the match. About five people around me who seemed like they'd never been to an away game before too with their mannerisms. It was absolute tosh though I'm gonna assume everyone was leathered and cold, as opposed to leathered and warm which helped in Bruges? Definitely lowers expectations for Porto at this rate.

Oh well, it was good enough Sometimes Ranieri's substitution choices grind me, sometimes they don't. Ultimately, I suppose one can assume he's trying to balance fitness levels and intentionally deploys different personnel for the three competitions we're still a part of (with the FA Cup yet to come).
VLC86 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 We had a drum? couldnt hear I at all. Very strange atmosphere from our end yesterday. I got told off for not singing.... while having a piss at half time hahaha. Good away but not on Bruges level, the hangover on the other hand 9/10. Would be a 10 had I not have woken up still smashed at 6am.
VLC86 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Love all these people feeling like they won the lottery have a 0.1% pint in the ground as well, ladz ladz ladz. Joke is on me when I find out it was real beer.

Clearly there was, but chants didn't spread to other areas because CPH drowned us out. Well that's my theory anyway!

Moved to D1 after the break and it was much better. I think the ridiculously high roof in that stand due to the 6 or 7 floors of offices, didn't help either
