Merging Cultures Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 What about getting out of the country by hiding in the boot of a car and taking a ferry?
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 The thing is if the escaped over night Sunday night? The escape wasn't discovered until Midday yesterday, and their escape has only just been made public. They'd get nabbed at an airport now, but there's a pretty decent window to get anywhere they want.

Pretty sure you couldn't just hop on the next Easyjet to Magaluf as the Prison would have your passport.

I'm obviously going off the presumption they've got some fake one's sorted. Obviously couldn't use your real one as you would get detained then.

It wasn't obvious but yeah its clearly possible if you can sort diamond-cutting equipment and mannequins from inside. These two just sound like everyday wrong'uns as well which is a pretty damning indictment on the prison system.
MPH Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 I quite imagine they are hidden away in a room not coming out so no one can identify them watching tv behind closed curtains thinking " ah! this is the life!"
Fox92 Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 Puts your faith in our prison system when prisoners get away with disguising pillows as bodies, in 2016....

I'd perhaps be a little more comfortable with it if it weren't for the fact it took them till MIDDAY to notice
foxes21 Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 depends on the time frame, from when they escaped, to when it was reported. haven't read the report, but if it wasn't reported until the next morning surely that's plenty of time to get out the country?

WORST HOLIDAY CAMP EVER

Has anyone in the twenty first century ever successfully escaped and stayed free in the UK? Genuine question. You're never going to get out of the country in today's climate and if you don't, you'll get caught and end up with more years. The Pentonville two are 31 and 28, in for attempted murder and the other one burglary. The latter would surely have been out in his thirties but now he's going to have a shit load extra on his sentence. Why bother? Death row inmate or a lifer in the states serving ACTUAL life? Why not? Nothing to lose. But someone doing five to fifteen in the UK with years to live? Don't get it. Am I missing something? A more descriptive or punny thread title?

Finnegan Posted 10 November 2016 Author Posted 10 November 2016 All of that rubbish about they could have gone anywhere by now. First one found in Ilford.

Guest seanfox778 Posted 12 November 2016 Posted 12 November 2016 What a douche, winter is the perfect time to escape. Wear hats, scarves, loads of layers, a cheap pair of glasses and get some local buses to get you further out of the city. He'd probably of ended up in a village near swindon, meet a nice farm girl named Melissa and help out on her family's dairy farm. Years later when Melissa's father passed on, Matthew and Melissa would take over the family business and just make enough to put their kids through school and live a quiet sheltered life but now he's gone and blown it! Idiot.
