Vardy & Okazaki duo is finished until teams forget the long-ball/low cross aimed at the defenders' ankles to Vardy is our only way of playing when he is on the pitch. I want Claudio to try a front 4 of Mahrez, Gray/Albrighton, Musa (or even Schlupp if he is up for it) and Slimani for games at home or against "winnable teams". Mahrez could get bullied in the middle, but he'll have more options than being stuck on the right and having only Danny Simpson standing at the halfway line for an option. Changes be needed. Amazed we haven't switched to a more defensive line-up in our away games.

Kitchandro Posted 21 November 2016 Posted 21 November 2016 3 at the back for me. Put Mahrez behind 2 strikers with 2 deeper centre mids. It's not perfect but we need to change the system. Having said that it doesn't matter what system you're playing if the players aren't working hard enough. The bottom line is that is our biggest problem, otherwise we'd have never regressed to such a huge extent.

We've chopped and changed between the Champs League and the Prem with Slim playing one week, out the other, King for Amartey, then back again. Etc. Theres no consistency. You can see that some players don't know the other's game. And it's showing in terms of our league position. Its time I think for the Don to decide his best team and as much as he can, just play them. All this swapping about is doing us no good.

I could see us conceding 6 or 7 with that team.

The only reason I opened this topic, was based on Various Posts demanding Various changes, and the critic on the individuals, seeming to want those they mention To be banished from squad. Then the point that Others are tired.. THE major stalwarts and last seasons BBone, have been serving up Dross, that leaves DDrinkwater trying to much to balance it out so much that he himself has dropped on form. So Mahrez effectively has a free role, allowing him to drift between the lines and stretch play, while Vardy and Musa/Gray can attack the flanks and open up space for Mahrez and Slimani to take advantage. Vardy can then get on the last defender to receive knock downs and through balls from our Algerian duo too. Thoughts?
