Id snap Memphis Depay up if we could, has crazy ability and just not replicated his brilliant PSV form yet.

I agree. Hes not been given a fair crack at Utd. Everyone expected Ronaldo esque performances form him which is unfair on a young lad. He would be a great signing.

I see what you're saying and this isn't a dig at you personally at all as i know lots have seemingly suggested Depay as a potential good signing..

But why do people think so?

He'll be on and would be here on £100,000 a week minimum and would cost £20m+ given what Utd paid for him. He's had the chance to earn a place at Utd and at times over the last two year they were short in wide areas yet he's still barely featured. At times his attitude has been laughable and he looks so big time.

Not to say he won't be a good Prem player and every chance he might settle down for Everton if he goes there etc in the future but for me he's absolutely no way near good enough to risk spending that money on when he's been so ineffective

Would be better than Musa and we spunked 15 million on him.

I think he has match winning qualities to his game. Hes only young and proper game time where he can develop will only help. I would imagine his attitude has come form not being given a run of games. I agree with the cost side of things though as it could be out of our budget.

Curtis Davies from Hull as backup??

Good player, but i assume Hull would ask for a ridiculous amount of money.

Loan Schweinsteiger , good steady hand for champions league.

Not got the legs to play in our preferred 4-4-2 system. However could he play at CB? He's played in defence before, albeit at RB & LB.

People are asking for a ball playing CB... Maybe he could make the transition? Don't get me wrong there's better options out there.

No more back up signings. If we sign anymore players in Jan they HAVE to improve the starting XI

Very true but again that's almost my point. Not to speculate exactly what Musa is on but i don't think it would be near £100k a week..

How do we know he'd be more effective than Musa or whoever else for that matter. If we're spending £20m+ and £100k a week i want someone proven in a league that is more suitable to ours than the Dutch League. He's had close to two seasons now to prove he has something about him in the premier league but hasn't done anything at Utd at all of any note.

Anyway only my opinion. Just think it'd be too big a risk especially for us.

I mentioned this a few weeks back. Looks like Everton are signing him, and doesn't seem like we're interested. He's the type of pedigree of player we should be looking at though.

Depay is very egotistical, had run ins with coaches/teammates playing the big time Charlie, he'd 100% throw a stink if he didn't start IMO.

Could be another Balotelli type. Huge potential at a young age, but buys into his own hype and sulks. Definitely don't need that in our team, as although we have been poor so far this season, we still seem to have some passionate and decent characters in the dressing room. N'diddi seems to fit into that, and hopefully any new signings will too

Exactly - OK; Gray, Vardy and Mahrez have at times given off slightly poor vibes, it seems to have been ironed out (for now). Ndidi has been described as an intelligent and humble team player, comes across well in his interviews.

I know West Ham are having a stinker tonight in defence but their only shining light is Winston Reid. In no way would they sell him, but he'd be someone that could flourish with us.

Probably too good for West Ham even. Could see him playing for a top 6 club in the future. Don't think we will be able to afford any English Premier League CB's. Will have to be doing our search abroad to get any kind of value for money. Shame, as would have loved to sign players like Keane and Gibson, but even clubs like Burnley and Boro don't need the money anymore and can say no.

Robert Snodgrass anyone? Seven goals already and always a threat.

Similar to Robbie Brady in the sense that he is a decent player who has been around a while and played few seasons in the Premier League and we know pretty much what we are getting. Would be a safe bet and would add something to our squad, but maybe not a player that will take us to the next level.

I would sign him if the price was right though, as you unfortunately can't have a team full of super stars at our level, and we need guys just like this who you can rely on to perform most weeks as they have shown for English clubs in the past.

Anything around and under 10million would be good business, but the cost to Hull on losing their best player, would be far greater, so we can either expect a big NOT for sale, or a stupidly high valuation.

Hes in the last year of his contract and west ham just had a 3m bid turned down. I think he will move and for less then 10m.

I just read that about the 3million too. No way will they accept that. Worth much more to them in trying to stay up, although that's looking bleak. I actually don't think they will sell him to anyone, and if they did, it would be very overpriced. He is probably worth about 5-6million but Hull probably only entertain offers closer to 10.

I'd prefer Bojan although I think he would cost nearer 20million, with the crazy market we are in
