Is it me or does quite a bit of this 'banz' not even make sense?

I think it may be frustration on Danny's part in terms of the average player remark and the crap the players have had in the last week.

The only thing I'm worried about is Danny's performances and if you're only as good as your last performance he'll do for me as I thought he was cracking on Monday Night.

And in the 2nd half against savilla, one tackle he made in our penalty box towards the end was world class. I think its about time he had a chant. something like

He bought her new shoes

he bought her new shoes

danny simpson

he bought her new shoes.

Believe it or not but Danny is a highly underrated RB in my view. There has always been a shortage of quality RBs and I think we landed ourselves with a solid one.

I have no problem with this, his first tweet was at  very worst slightly provocative, and in reality a bit of light hearted humour.

Carragher on the other hand has shown a nasty and bitter side, especially with the '5 games a season' comment.

Some of the comments these guys have been on the receiving end of over the past week or so have been so downright disrespectful that no wonder they want to give some of it back, however they have to back it up though as he will look incredibly silly if we do go down.

Can someone explain this for me?

How I interpreted it as him referring to, or digging out, squad/young players who may play a few games for a team that wins the league.

Players such as Simpson and Drinkwater would have been at United and in and around the first team although rarely, if ever, in the matchday squad, at the time when they were winning leagues.

Totally agree, there isn't many better 'defensive right backs' in the league. 10 years ago he would of been in the England squad, but now there is such an owness on attacking as well as defending. Yes he has baggage but if you just judge him on his job we havent had a better right back for years and years.

Simpson, I have felt has been one of our consistent players.

He has gone about his business on the pitch relatively quietly without getting any of the headlines like Vardy or Mahrez.

He hasn't shirked away from his duties and seemed to be one players to stand up and get stuck in when needed.

His performance against Liverpool was quality, positioning first class and only missed one challenge all game which lead to a goal.

Many displays from him this season have been steady, it's just been overshadowed by the poor performances of Huth & Morgan at CB

Are there many better English Right Backs at present?

Cant really question his defending, and tries when we can to get forward and help in attack.

Thanks for that.

To be fair to Carra if you're going to use adjectives to describe Danny in a derogatory way to carry on the argument, "One of the worst defenders to win the Premier League" isn't exactly far south of the truth is it lollol

I didn't really need reminding why I distance myself from facebook & twitter type of social media, but thanks anyway Carragher and Danny for bringing it to my attention again as to why it shouldl remain that way as long as I can breathe.

Does Carragher think he's untouchable and the voice of football because he's on Sky? Hadn't liked him since his "why are they even celebrating" comments after we beat West Ham a couple of years back, but he's showing himself to be a genuine cvnt recently.

You can tell Carragher was hurt by the Premier League winner comment. So insecure. Get over it already.

Why do people attack carragher the player for what carra the pundit said. I'm on Danny's side 100℅ but for me I would've preferred he said  somethings about carra the pundit (plus, Simpson can't get close to what carra achieved so, he should've avoided that)

I would be salty if I was him. Played in a much harder era. Last season was probably one of the weakest in pl history considering big teams like pool, united and Chelsea didn't show up and spurs, man city and arsenal bottled it. I would be salty if a player of Simpson's level won the pl title as a starter and mocked me for it.

Something that I find worrying about this tw@ter exchange is that Simpson might be getting so wound up about this that he'll be trying to think of some smart-ar$ed reply during Saturdays game as a Hull attacker casually drifts by him and puts the ball in the net....we need concentrate come on now......ffs grow up man.

Nah Simpson is generally defensively sound. Other than maybe Swansea away I can't think of many other goals coming from his side. If anything, he actually bails out our CBs now and again.

Absolutely love how much Simpson has ticked off that cretin Carragher. Best thing of all, Carragher is paying him a backhand compliment by continually referring to how such a "crap player has won the league when he never did.

Carragher just chatting shite for clicks. Simpson is one of the best defenders in the league. I genuinely believe that. What other fullbacks are as good and consistent as Simpson, defensively?

He offers nothing going forward though
