Massively in danger of being over hyped here.....He's been good, outstanding in one game. Vieria and Kante comparisons are a bit soon.

In the Chelsea game he just gave the ball away after a promising start. He was very good against Liverpool but even then the defence wasn't happy with his positioning (Fuchs had a massive go at him in the first half) and there was another example of that against Seville too. Needs to work on his positioning and ball retention. Playing with a fully functioning Drinkwater will be a massive help too.

Surely the last sentence contradicts the first a bit?

Not really. If a player is over-hyped that doesn't mean he is not wonderful. But, people are already comparing him to kantè and putting too much expectations on the lad and that is unfair to him as just a 20 year old.

In my mind 'truly wonderful' is a pretty strong description for a player that's only been here 6 weeks or so while playing in an underperforming team.

I agree that we shouldn't build him up so fast, but in the context of the season you understand when people go a bit overboard when they see promise (in a young talent nonetheless).

That's how he'll learn.

Quite a sensible post but ball retention is very good, Hull goal was one pass and it happens but his passing and range of passing is actually ridicolous.

I'd agree but it's not consistent. Loads of potential but loads to learn as well.

I'm a big fan but still a long way to go before comparing him to a young Vieria or Kante.

On the passing point, as a new player I often wonder whether some of the passes he attempts would have found a player at his previous club. That sort of intuitive movement Vardy and DD had last season meant even the most audacious of passes found their man and that's something that is built up over time when you get to know your team mates more.

But all in all it's on hell of a start from him and very impressive that he's played near every game without really having a second to settle in.

Exactly

He's been thrown in from the start as a young 20 year old coming from a very average league at best. Hard not to be impressed by not only his ability but his attitude.

Not an old 20 year old then?

Agree with you there. Like the pass he tried to play through vs Liverpool or Sevilla, can't remember which one. However it was very underhit, maybe because he didn't want to put it straight through to the keeper. However Vardy will get onto the longer through balls, either creating a scoring chance or forcing the keeper into a risky challenge. N'didi will learn as he goes and maybe realise that his through balls to Vardy don't have to be as inch perfect as the do to other strikers.

no one knows. theres a chance it could have been a false positive

It is strange he was proven not to be under 17 in 2013 but he's apparantly just turned 20 now lol

Just read this N'Didi actually failed an MRI threshold test for a Nigerian youth tournament a few years ago.

Is it actually 20 or a bit older?

The MRI scan is not conclusive. He was part of the Nigerian U17 squad that qualified for the U17 World Cup in South Korea but was dropped from the squad because of a failed MRI scan. It is important to note that he passed this same MRI scan a few months earlier at the African U17 championship. He was upgraded o the U20 team and played in the U20 world cup in Turkey in 2013 and also in New Zealand in 2015.
