Hind Sights a Wonderful Thing

Simpson Amartey Benny Chilwell

Simpson is doggo most of the time but still our best right back sadly. Sign Trippier if we stay up please! Maybe Huth or Morgan for Amartey buthe I'd like to see him have a game or two at centre half

Let's get things into perspective.

Wasil and the like were merely numbers last night while he rested other key players. We should be focusing on the positives from Ndidi', Gray, Kaputska, Benny, Chilwell and Amartey who have either cemented a place in the starting 11 on the back of last night's performance or showed promise to develop.

Wasil and King have no place in the starting 11. King happened to be in the right place at the right time for his goal and does look comfortable in the Championship but he's not Prem

It's neither here nor there that we were playing a second string championship team, our defence has be SO bad this season that any positive performance from a defender is significant.

We looked confident and assured in general and I'd like to see at least 2 changes to the back 4, namely Chilwell & Benalouane.

Because if we stick with the same shitbags we'll keep getting the same shit results. This is why we have a squad.

Does the title error not bother anyone else? Thought the FT police would be all over it!

....Sounds like someones stuck eyes on an arse. "I have sight... from my hind!"

I'd take  Benny to replace Morgan as right centre back. One centre back comfortable with the ball  and the other as  a bruiser.  Then Chillwell as left back so we have 2 new defenders in playing next to 2 regulars.

Shame we have zero alternative to Simpson. Amartey looked good but it was against Derby. Amartey is a million times better passer than Simpson. Swansea and Liverpool will be a totally different kettle of fish.

I'd definitely start Benalouane though. Looked decent last night considering he's been rotting in the reserves for a year. Bit more game time and he could be could get up to speed. If we had signed him 2 weeks ago people would be excited about him.

Simpson - Amartey - Benalouane - Chilwell

Chilwell has been in the top 3 or 4 performers In every game I've seen him play. Fuchs has been in the bottom 5 or 6 90% of the season. We have bigger issues than left back but to not give Chilwell a run is criminal in my opinion. Nothing more the guy can do.

... Amartey is an alternative. As long as Huth AND Morgan don't play together again it's alright.

I think people are making too much of last night's performance. We were playing against a weakened Derby side, keeping them out with relative comfortable was a respectable, but not outstanding achievement. If our regular back four had been playing I think we'd have seen much the same outcome.

Well what are we supposed to do and say? Oh well we won but it was only Derby, let's go back to the doom and gloom like after the Utd game. Get your point but if us as fans can't see the derby game as a potential building block for success then the players ****ing won't, I'd rather have had that game midweek ahead of Swansea than not, hopefully give the squad a huge boost

I'm feeling buoyed by the match, it felt good to see a Leicester team play well. I just think some people are overrating our second string line up a bit.

What I took away from last night and other games is that Gray should start more regularly, and Benalouane and Chilwell should be considered in future.

Would you take tonight's back four.  Amarty Benny Wasa and Chilly over our usual back four.

Even if we go dawn I'd like to see that than Morgan and Huth.

Take out Wasa, Wally

Our left side should just be gray and Chilwell now no doubt. Benalouane was decent, must be rusty too. Thing is, we saw him play like yesterday in the cup last year, so I don't buy the bollocks about him not being ready.

Amartey also played well and yesterday can't have given Zieler any harm

I'd love to see us line up like this against Swansea,

                   Schmeichel

Simpson Benny/Amartey Morgan Chillwell

             Ndidi Drinky/Mendy

            Albrighton Mahrez Gray

                         Slimani

Least this way, we have 2 CBs that can actually pass the ball between themselves and have a little pace, Ndidi to just be a tank and either Drinky or Mendy to add (some) creativity. With the albrighton having his work rate and crosses into the box for Slim, and mahrez and gray to add that skill and ability to draw men to them just with their presence

I would take a leaky defense that can pass from the back over a defense that can't keep a clean sheet nor pass from the back.

Absolutely this!

Our defence is causing us two big issues. Not only are they leaking goals, they are also having a negative impact on our general play and attacks, due to the inability to play it out from the back.

We are leaking goals anyway, so if people are concerned about Benny and/or Amartey coming in, then I don't see why. At the very least, they would help our general play by being more comfortable on the ball.

Morgans definitely gonna start as he's captain, that's a given, benny looked composed and confident on the ball and 'was' did well, but derby made us look better defensively than we are, they did there job well but some are being very nieve In there thinking, though I hope Brent gets a chance meself

I thought Benny was ok, Chilwell is a must, Amartey always liked him, Ndidi made a difference, Gray v good.

As for Sunday who knows............................. Sorry Claudio knows

Let's not forget though, it was our reserves versus their reserves.

I think I would have preferred more first team on the pitch to give them the confidence to move on.

Roll on Sunday

If he plays the usual back 4 and we get done over i really think ranieri will be under massive pressure now is the time to change are defence he must act im not saying a complete new back 4 but Chilwell and another cb has 2 come in
