Legacy for 2015-2017 players : legends or Chumps

Recommended Posts

It's just depressing. I would always see last year's team as legendary but if we go down in this spineless style then I won't want most of them at the club anymore.

As the papers have been reporting for a while from champs to chumps. Sorry no legends in that dressing room. Legends fight and have spirit this lot are just wilting.

They think the war is over after one battle and have given up. The victory is and will always be legendary the individuals are bottlers.

The sooner this seasons over the better. Then the club can start the mega rebuild.

Which won't be easy, especially when we have the likes of Rudkin around and no real structure in our recruitment, etc. Which we once did have under NP and SW

Hoping Ruskin is one of the first cvnts out the door.

Intact survival could be worse than relegation.

He won't be, he's firmly got his feet under the table with the owner

I have a  feeling that the owners will be moving on and hopefully taking that table with them

Id have to be on the side of chumps. Its so sad.

Relegation would confirm to everyone outside of Leicester, in their minds, that the achievement of winning the league was a total fluke and the relegation would confirm their misguided opinion.

No one would ever refer to the Leicester titlle winning team without the "but....got relegated a season later" either.

Ranieri takes blame. Lets make no argument about that. Im pro Ranieri and he takes blame for sure.

However i dont think ive ever seen people in any walk of life take such little pride in themselves that they are happy to be the butt of everyones jokes. They dont give a shit the whole country is laughing at them losing to Millwall, and different tactics or not its irrelevant, a proper performance theyd have easily won.

Theyd have easily won some premier league games too with the supposed "wrong" tactics. Yeah it might not have been AS successful and that would be Claudio's fault, but theyve blatantly given up playing.

Somehow, from the best day of my football life in May, theyve actually made me hate most of them.

I think you meant 'Rudkin'. On the other hand...

I would hope that this season will make them realise they also did things wrong. Start again and get a clear plan/structure going and stick with it whoever is in charge! From DOF, scouts, academy the whole lot! Ask Southampton for some advice if they need to....

I always felt safe when NP was in charge, I felt comfortable we would unearth some gems because we had Walsh. Now i feel worried, we have spunked a shed load of money up the wall on what is looking like players who won't make it here or in English football full stop. NDidi is the only saving grace right now but he will be snapped up if we go down

Can we get that fella up from London to do another mural with the player's heads shaped as turds? Something has to shake them out of this malaise because the manager and the rush to relegation sure isn't

For me it's too late. The damage has been done no matter what happens. We could go on another great escape episode but is that really expected from the champions? No. For the past three seasons we've celebrated some form of achievement at the end of each and it's about to come to a drastic end to what should've been a progressive movement in our club's history.

This lemon sweet has ran out of sugar and has turned very sour.

For the players to even begin to be considered "chumps", we need to be relegated. The last time I checked, we are still a Premier League club?

I know this has been a horrid season in the Prem – but there has been some high points too. Who'd ever thought, hand on heart, that they'd be able to hear the Champions League anthem at the KP?

I'm sorry to bring you bad news – supporting Leicester has never been, never is, and never will, be easy. You sign your heart away to this club and it is like acquiring a life-long membership to Alton Towers. It's never boring, it can make you fear for your life, even shit yourself, but you know you're going to have some laughs on the way.

What about we, the fans, keep trying and make sure we do our tiny little bit – support, sing, even use those feken clappers if we really have to – and try and help and ensure those champs on the pitch stay champs. We stay up and all is forgiven.

At least until next August, when the gates to the Leicester City theme park open up again.

The answer to this question totally depends on whether or not we stay up.

This season has been unbelievably dire - almost as if a curse has been put on the club for daring to upset the conventional order last season - but although we are out of the FA Cup and will inevitably follow suit very soon in the Champions League (in equally embarrassing fashion I would imagine), we are still very much in the Premier League.

Now that every pundit and journalist in the country is (quite rightly) having a pop at the players and manager, calling them a disgrace and an embarrassment etc, surely, surely we will see a reaction.

If we don't, and the team continues to play shit and gets relegated, the players and manager will forever be tagged 'champs to chumps', 'heroes to zeroes', 'legends to bellends' etc. The success and failure will inevitably go hand in hand.

If it was you or me, we'd be doing everything in our power over the next three months to avoid that. But will they?

Over to you, champions of England.....

It's Kante's legacy.

One man carried these chumps.

Certainly looks that way, how embarrassing for these players.

Just because a wheel is off and you can't  drive the car anymore doesn't mean that the wheel is the most important element in it.

Hindsight is 20/20. Kantè did a great job but he wasn't scoring goals and creating chances

For my saying it was all kantè's is a disrespect to the team and the players.

Fair enough and I somewhat agree, but Kante knew when to get out.

Personally I think the players who are still here are the ones disrespecting fellow team-mates, management, fans and themselves.

You talk about hindsight, I just wish Vardy had gone in hindsight!

Totally agree with the highlighted part, they need to do more and honer their contracts . And kantè already had a leg out of the door before the season ended so, I wasn't surprised.

By the way, sorry for the grammar mistakes, auto-correct is having a field day lol
