Looks like the Man Utd bus after the West Ham fans had finished with it
Monsell1976 Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 I hope all leicester Madrid and leicester fans stay safe tomorrow, BBC reporting 3 explosions, so looking like a planned attack, these cowards will use big events like this, to get headlines. Stay safe all those attending the matches over the next few days
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Can we change the thread title to Dortmund firecracker?
Carl the Llama Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Tomorrow's match is going to be a real cracker now.

leicsmac Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Is there any reason at all to suspect this is anything other than a couple of idiots with firecrackers, or do we not need to follow the example of some on this thread and press the "ZOMG TERRORIST THEY'LL STOP AT NOTHING BE AWARE" button right away?
Guest MattP Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 The biggest bombscare in the Champions League tonight is Umtiti in the Barcelona defence.

Can only go off what is being reported, authorities are say a device was planted on the corner, and somehow detonated, like I say, can only go on what authorities tell us

Not sure yet. Die Bild is saying devices were left alongside the road, but it appears mainly to be speculating rather than having actual information http://www.bild.de/news/inland/borussia-dortmund/protokoll-des-bombenanschlags-51257826.bild.html
stripeyfox Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Die Bild also saying the police will hold a press conference at 2300 (2200 our time)

Watched a report from the spokesman for Dortmund, what he was saying, there was talk of the game still going ahead, but I guess on the advice of the security services, and the fact two players was injured, the game was called off. With the previous attacks in Germany, and the two latest attacks, and the suicide bomber at the France game, I suppose it's the first think that comes to mind. i hope everyone is safe, but it might be something or nothing, but they don't normally abandon games for little or no reason

It is very easy to jump to the obvious conclusion, but this doesn't read like such - not until more compelling evidence presents itself either way.

st albans fox Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Local police confirmed it was explosive devices - clearly not particularly complex or powerful. Nevertheless, Dortmund are at a disadvantage tomorrow as they are unlikely to sleep too well tonight.

I was at the Hospital recently and the reception seemed quite surprised when \I said non to the question what is your religion .I'm amazed its even a question when you are there for treatment should be a big sign over the entrance -no religion allowed in here. For certain religions, it can effect the care the patient receives. A Jehovah's Witness, for example will refuse any type of blood product. Knowing this beforehand can save a lot of time.. ' Do you have any religious affiliation?' Might be a better way of phrasing it...
MC Prussian Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Marc Bartra has suffered a fractured radius and various remains of the explosives have pierced through the skin of his arm. He is being operated on right now. Three explosives were found, one minor set did not detonate. Police forces also discovered a letter from somebody claiming responsibility for the attack.

Not having a go at you, MC, but it just goes to show how conflicting reports can be, even hours after the incident.

I'm quoting the German authorities and Borussia Dortmund representatives that are holding a press conference as we speak.
