It is very easy to jump to the obvious conclusion, but this doesn't read like such - not until more compelling evidence presents itself either way. Bartra having surgery on his arm too so can't see how it will go ahead tomorrow. If Dortmund lose everyone will say should have been delayed, unfair on them etc. Even though the Monoco players will be affected no doubt too.

It has to go ahead tomorrow, the Borussia spokesperson said the fixture list/schedule doesn't allow for any more room to improvise.
weller54 Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 An open letter has been found near the Dortmund coach!.... Come on, own up who on FT is responsible?

Like I say, it wasn't a criticism, it just highlights how people can jump to conclusions over these things.

I think that's the BBC jumping to conclusions, because the official Marca twitter page says Bartra "is being operated on" - and that was about ten minutes ago:
Innovindil Posted 11 April 2017 Posted 11 April 2017 Wonder how people on here would be reacting if it was one of our players hurt in an attack like this.

I didn't notice you're german i understand your feelings now, comparing such an attempt to those deadly explosion attacks in iraq yes that's very sad. I hope the world will be safe everywhere. Let's just forget about it we're here as Leicester supporters

More like a failed terror attack. If it succeeded you'd very likely have the whole Borussia team dead with all the consequences it would imply. That's stuff you hear about in Bagdad, not in Höchsten, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. So please, spare us the understatements. This irritates me, sorry. We've had a handful of reports from mainstream media and you've garnered enough knowledge to establish "we'd very likely have the whole Borussia team dead with all the consequences it would imply". Steady on. We have to work things out properly.
Finnegan Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 So there's armed police everywhere in Dortmund, the fans get held in the ground for their own safety, one of the biggest football games of the season has been called off, the German police say they've found three explosive devices planted in the street but it's clearly just some yoot throwing a firecracker because the bus doesn't look damaged enough in the photo? Internet is ****ing weird.

Internet is ****ing weird. Tbf the firecracker story was featured on the BBC's reporting of the event last night. They've since scrubbed any mention of it by the looks of things but when the BBC are telling you that and then you see pictures showing fairly minimal damage to the bus it all seems to add up and make sense.

Shameful some find it so funny. I so hope this is a one off and if not the next one is not bigger and better. After this and trouble in Madrid last night our fans best behave today. The Spanish cops won't be messing around now.

MrSpaM Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Think it's pretty ridiculous to be travelling around in a bus that's got the club logo on the side when were living in a world where terrorist attacks are becoming a pretty regular occurrence

lgfualol Posted 21 April 2017 Posted 21 April 2017 Well seems like they caught the guy. No isis, no far-right, just a guy trying to short-sell Dortmund stocks. What an idiot.

What an idiot. An unprecedented case. Greed is a horrible character trait. Imagine if the second and most lethal bomb out of three had actually hit its target, but the 28-year old Russian, who has very good electronics knowledge, misplaced it (too high). Had he been successful, he would've earned up to 4 million Euro (£3.3m) due to to 15'000 put options that he had bought for close to 80'000 Euro. Unfortunately for him, he made the purchase from the hotel lobby in Dortmund, where he had checked in earlier. He was also seen calmly walking to the restaurant and making an order, when everybody else was freaking out following the explosions. Hope he gets a life sentence, the cvnt.
ALC Fox Posted 21 April 2017 Posted 21 April 2017 Wow. This is a new level of stupidity. What a moron, and a thoroughly horrible person to boot. A despicable act of greed and selfishness.
st albans fox Posted 21 April 2017 Posted 21 April 2017 But what about the Moslems - it must still be their fault.............somehow otherwise the current narrative doesn't work
