Wymsey Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Let's hope it's not one of those that will be a few weeks, he's been immense. But happy to have a resurgent Benalouane back and also Huth returning from suspension as well.
Aus Fox Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Put him on ice, I wouldn't imagine we will see him again this season. Excellent again tonight. Hopefully comes back bigger and stronger next season.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Odd bringing on Amartey when we're chasing the game
The Doctor Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Downside, but huth and benny have formed a very good partnership while he's been out so not too much of a worry.
desertfox2 Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Proper captain. He played Injured and became more injured. Put his body on the line for us. Can't ask anymore than that.
brucey Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 we have huth+benny as an equally good plan b, and apparently a fuchs+chilwell plan c now too if we're desperate! all well and good
MC Prussian Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Let's see how grave it is based on the club's assessment tomorrow or on Thursday. We've got a week to recover for the Arsenal match and even if he won't make it back for another couple of matches, it was the only option to play him tonight against Atlético. Shakespeare obviously doesn't trust Amartey as centre-back (that much) and having the captain on the pitch can make a whole world of difference, even if he's just 90% fit. Speedy recovery, Wes.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 I reckon that's him out for the rest of the season. Was excellent tonight considering how long he's been out too.
Stevosevic Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 He can sit the rest of the season out if that's what's needed
Ian Nacho Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 It's not his hamstring because he was stretching his leg out as you would when you have cramp, which can be explained in him not playing 90 minutes of football in a while. If it was a hamstring injury do you think he'd be able to walk around the pitch applauding the fans afterwards? I think not.
Number 6 Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Wes Huth Benalouane back 3 anyone? 3412 was great second half.
