Funny that. I see the 'personality' thing differently. I don't see him as a typical City player.

Of course, he's the only genuine goal threat besides Vardy..he's our other main striker! That doesn't mean we couldn't sell him and get another one though does it.

He's not a typical City player, sure - but there's something in his odd looking stride and on pitch demeanor that gives the appearance of laziness, whereas I see more graft and grit. You don't come out of the bottom of Algerian football without possessing some determination, and I think he's shown some with us.

I think the whole Slimani debate is founded upon expectation. Given we were paying through the nose for our 'top striker.'.a player to give us a strong chance in Europe and to terrorise defences with his power.... ive been largely disappointed. You write 'he's shown some determination with us' like that's something spectacular. No offence, but that's the bare minimum I, or indeed, any fee paying supporter should expect.

I guess I was just expecting more from him. A real star and a gem of a striker.

If we keep him, he has to stay fit and we must surely look to play in a way to accommodate his strengths.

Championship at best lol

He scored 31 goals for Sporting last season, a league clearly better than the championship

If we keep Ulloa and sell Mahrez, then I'm all for selling Slimani if we can get back what we paid.

And we musn't forget that he had a slow first season, and improved year by year.

First year at sporting 10 goals in 30 games, second year 15 goals in 33 games and third year 31 goals in 44 games. (Not sure how much of that he played fully, but it's still improve)

Maybe you should.

Opinions as you say, but some of the deadwood you listed before like Ormondroyd being better than a player with european and international pedigree.  Come off it.

I've got a fridge magnet that looks a bit out of place now that we've had the kitchen painted ...   any good ??

You can have it cheap and there's no buy out clause ...    :)

This is clearly a wind up?

Hes twice as good as everyone you listed and more! Simply different gravy to these players.

And you go into say Walsh was better up front! He only played up front in the second tier Slimarni has played at a higher level than all the players you listed has a better record.

I'm only being daft of course...Slimani is every bit as good as Iwan was...I just loved watching Iwan and signing the song..

I'll judge him on his footballing abilities when he has been fit for at least half a season.  Two questions for me, will he stay fit and do we have a plan to play a style of football that suits him and Vardy (if possible).

£30m is a lot but i still think he was a better buy than Musa, possibly Mendy.
