Foxxed Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I'll be gutted if he goes. Fantastic player, fantastic guy and a credit to the club and all that know him. How's Kasper's Danish protege doing? Can't we convince Kasper to stay in order to continue his apprenticeship?
fuchsntf Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Chance for a chsnce to make money...put down a bet That neither.. Mahrez Schmeichel Vardy Musa will be leaving..
Walshy5 Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 What you have to question is why would he change his agent if he wasn't seeking a move.

But I do keep going back to the idea that Walsh scouted him. Walsh isn't guaranteed to get it right every time I know but still I wonder. I wonder if we were looking for a possible injury or transfer replacement for Vardy. Imagine Mahrez dinking a high pass from deep in our half to one of our fastest players (faster than Vardy? certainly younger) hurtling past breathless defenders on to a panicked goalkeeper? He could still come good, but I wonder how settled he is within the team.

Thracian Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I wouldn't be surprised if our entire team stayed , showed faith in Shakespeare and had another serious crack at the title. They're a damned good group when properly organised as evidenced by three periods in the Premiership - The Great Escape, the entire Premiership title winning season and the Shakespeare Rescue - when they've been all-but unbeatable for lengthy periods and with fairly minimal change in personnel overall. Imagine if the group itself stayed in an arguably stronger form with the emergence of Benny, Chilwell, Gray and perhaps one or even two of the players we have out on loan. And then we added, say, others of genuinely high quality while also not being disturbed by ACN call-ups and therefore enjoying a potentially full-season from Slimani.. To do that we'd need sound, rather than revolutionary, management along lines we're already familiar with and who better for that, surely, than the man who's been involved and respected for his coaching, humility and inclusive approach, all along. Just consider for a moment the effect Shakespeare's already had on the demeanour of the players - it's been dramatic but, more importantly, it's been sustained, and that even in the face of considerable Champions League commitments, injuries and considerable fixtures pressure. Shakespeare seems to have a preferred method of playing with our current group so who better to choose others to supplement that style or facilitate options when necessary? All the above adds up to the evolutionary progress that can take us from momentary near-miracle workers to seriously respected top level title contenders - courtesy of a manager with a smile on his face, steel in his heart and his feet firmly on the ground. .

But sometimes, and to a certain extent, supporting someone can reap rewards for both them and those who work with them.
Chester Dontlie Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Schmike has to stay, hopefully till the end of his career... He's a proper character, a great captain material, you just don't sell a guy like him. ManU can **** off

Agreed, sod whether his minds on getting another wife, he's paid handsomely to play football and he isn't. I think the money and fame in his own country has gone to his head. His control of the ball is dreadful and he's easily pushed off the ball. The latter he can, with a bit of effort and conditioning , do something about. Armartey and Ndidi do after main training so perhaps he ought to if he's remotely interested. Possibly he's just bone idol.

foxy boxing Posted 8 May 2017 Posted 8 May 2017 hope he stays but with all Leicester players they have has a taste of success and want more and want to be challenging themselves and challenging for silverware season after season and pitting themselves against the best in the Champions League. these players are ambitious and for them to stay the club needs to match their ambition which means regularly signing quality players that can continually lift the club to bigger and better things.

ManU can **** off He will stay, the only team I can really see him going to is Man City, although he might get some backlash from his dad and United fans. There is NO WAY I ever see him going to Man united it'll be 'Kasper saved more goals than his dad syndrome'

We know he was seminal in the Nigerian team. We know the man who's responsible for our best players wanted him. We know he scored a brace against Barcelona. We also know he's been a bit shit. A lot more shit that he has been before for Nigeria or his old team. And we know he's probably having a shitty time outside football. And we also know he was on the wrong side of the Ranieri rebellion and perhaps the team. I however wouldn't mind - if we have the capability and it doesn't take forever - putting the work in to find out if Walshy found us another diamond, rather straighten my back, cross my arms and look down my nose on him because he's not done a injury-free Slimani. But if he's still shit by Christmas then fair enough I agree with you.

A loan spell might help him. Do social services run a team?

Hes been paid fortunes for 12 months, why do some people feel the need to give him any longer? Football moves far too quickly to allow players half the length of their contract to get into gear. Get rid, and find someone better.
Clever Fox Posted 9 May 2017 Posted 9 May 2017 Mussa is one that hasn't worked out. He's too soft for the premiership even if he does have talent. Time to cut our losses and bring in more quality.

I'm saying it might, just might, deliver dividends to support the man, support him not to show the milk of human kindness, but support him because he may become the high scoring striker we'd thought we bought.
