crisp packet Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 If you allow one player to leave for a 'big club' others will come knocking...? For the rest . All our players are under long term contracts if they do go I hope it's for many many pound notes. I think he'll stay. Not the first summer he's been linked with so called "bigger" clubs.

Will take big money for us and him to move surely. Klopp has said mutlitple times when linked with Hart that he isn't in the market for a keeper. Personally dont think Man United interest is real, they'll be looking for better imo. Everton maybe, but would they tempt him?
fazzyfox Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Will be studying his body language at the end of the Bournemouth match, looking for more waves than usual, throwing gloves into crowd, removing shirt to reveal tattoo of Manchester metro system...any subtle little clues like that. There are a few managers who would not be doing their job properly if they didn't come knocking and at least ask the question this summer. Man Utd depends on De Gea, Liverpool are rumoured to want Hart, Man City will surely replace the clowns who have cost them points this season (hopeless shot stoppers and and aren't even great sweeper keepers). Maybe the situation will be in Limbo all summer as part of a chain, starting with De Gea and involving Hart. What we don't want is too little time to react ourselves. I haven't seen any of Hart this season but my memories of him revolve around dropping clangers, rush of blood to the head, racing off line, conceding pens etc. Would we take him as a replacement? Kasper is one of those keepers who is worth a number of points a season thinking of games he kept us in and of course the penalty saves and performances in Europe. Zieler has a decent pedigree but I'm not sure he'd come anywhere close to the number of point saving performances or make such an impact on games as Kasper does.
ithuriel Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Only Kasper knows but the big question is, if he is happy to stay and he is thirty now, why change his agent unless he thinks he is not making enough from marketing his name?
Clever Fox Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I wouldn't worry about the agent thing at all.People change agents for all kinds of reasons, personalities etc. There's no doubt he has taken his game to the top level now and can only get better. I think he'll only leave for Utd. if he is going to leave. However I'm not sure he be happy playing for a Blx like Mourino. I think he is genuinely happy here, playing with a decent bunch of characters and earning the top rate for Goalkeepers. He also knows the Club is on the up and going places. He can be as big a legend here as his Dad is at Utd.
Bazly Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I think Kasper will stay and will take on the captains role, though I'm never one in favour of a goalkeeper having that responsibility as hopefully they are too far from the action to influence it. The Summer is going to require at least 3 newbies mainly in central defence and cover for Drinky who has been poor for months now. Then more to replace any that leave. I've got in the leave crowd amongst the regulars and benchers: Musa Mahrez Ulloa So we will probably need to bring in 5 players which is a fair number to assimilate into the first team group. We do need a midfielder who can rock up with 15 goals a season every season Lampard style. Well he was more like 20 a season, every season.

To get the best of out a group, they have to respect the manager. It's ok to fear him, but at the same time respect him. So you want to give your all for the gaffer and the club. Fergie was the one of the best at it. Mourinho has tried to get that over , but publicly also. That's where he went wrong at Chelsea last season, blaming the physio, he lost respect from the group. The group have to be happy. I don't think ihis method always works. Interestingly enough he hasn't put it on Pogba who has been abysmal.
Sammy Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 If De Get goes I don't think United would be looking at Schmeichel as his immediate replacement, they would definitely monitor him but think they'd be more likely to go for a younger player maybe from abroad who is comparable to De Gea. City won't go for him. He'll stay provided United don't come in and we show enough ambition for his liking, which I'm sure the owners will
Ian Nacho Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I'm unsure to be honest, with Mahrez I'm certain he will leave but Kasper has been loyal to us in the past. I think he will give us one more season and see his options after next season. He could play for anyone in the world, he's world class.
MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Kasper doesn't have a release clause; he is currently one of the highest paid GK's in the league; he has a good relationship with the owners. How many teams will match our asking fee, pay his wages, and not have his manager insult him during press conferences? Not many. And, frankly, any player knocking on Top's door, saying give Shakey the job, will not be smiled upon if they try and bolt if he's made permanent manager.
Bunyip Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 While I agree he has been great for us it can't have gone unmissed by the big clubs that his kicking and distribution is awful. Can you imagine him constantly booting the ball into touch or straight to the opposition players as he does for us and Man united or any other top club putting up with that standard ? he does not command his area very well either . Sorry but I hope he doesn't get ambition mixed up with ability.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I don't think United will want him, he's getting on a bit now and they could get someone better, we'd also probably ask for a mad fee as well. Only side I could see him going to is someone like Everton
Guest the fox Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 The club needs to keep him, he is not just our player of the season and a top 5 keeper in the league, he has the captain personality and seems to go along with everyone (at least from what I heard.
FoxinNotts Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 I hope he stays. But if he goes, we need to get at least £35m for him
