Wymsey Posted 15 May 2017 Posted 15 May 2017 Just can't see him going. He seems very loyal to the club and dedicated. He knows he's at his peak point, and understands that any move elsewhere could be a risk in terms of trying to establish himself in a new team - hence his performances could drop initially if he were to leave.

Depends if a top 4 club come in for him in my opinion. He wants to play champions league& at 30 he's only got about 4 years left of his peak. I hope he stays though.

That's certainly how I'd feel, but probably goes some way to explaining why I'd never be a top achiever.

shen Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Kasper has made no secret of enjoying it here and especially appreciating his teammates and staff. Pearson is the best manager he has had according to himself and Shakespeare seems moulded in a similar vein. As long as the owners, players and staff show ambition then I doubt he would be pushing for a move. Considering his history of rejection at Man City and Leeds and his late breakthrough in the Danish NT, I get the impression he needs to feel wanted and appreciated, which he knows he is here. Yes, he lives in Manchester and a move to a club that's closer to hope would surely appeal, but he's been here for 5+ years so it's not something he seems to prioritise. Then he still faces the same questions/disadvantages with regards to his height. A goal like the one Saul scored against us highlights this.
HKFox Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Talking to a UTD fan, over who the better gk is, Kasper or De Gea, having watched all our games this season I went for Kasper. Curious to find out who other leicester fans think is the better gk.

De Gea is very good, but Kasper does not have 450 million of players in front of him, Can't remember the last mistake he made. Brilliant saves, commands goal well. distribution is good, yes a few kicks out of play last year but that was always for time wasting reasons I felt. Thank for your reply, was curious what other lcfc fans felt
Bert Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 I think he will go. But on the same page I wouldn't be surprised if he was to stay. Apparently the deal has been done for weeks for him to go to man city with Joe Hart and cash coming this way. Would settle for that should it all be true. Won't begrudge Kasper a transfer away to a bigger club with more chance of success. He will always hold us I'm high regard I'm sure and what more is there here for him to achieve? A domestic cup. He's done everything else with us and has had a taste of the big time. Can't fault him for wanting more. He's been loyal to us and hasn't ever let us down. He will be a big loss if he does go. Absolute bargain for £1m. Now easily in the top 5 goalkeepers in the league.

Made some major howlers during the season he has, but for me, as a former GK myself, its hard enough to organize a defense at the best of times let alone when you cant speak the language and they cant understand you much.. From experience its incredibly unsettling if you're defense are not listening to you and its a huge distraction if they are not where you need them to be. it effects your positioning, your concentration and also your confidence to deal with a situation in hand...

Not in Neuer's league

Would be sad to see him go and it will be pretty shit playing against him. Any idea on money? You don't see deals like this that often.
