We Should be starting albrighton and gray anyway. Rubbish, and what makes you think Gray should start ahead of Mahrez? Not interested in any of this 'give him a chance' crap because he's had many opportunities to impress this season with zero return

The same cannot be said for Mahrez who was spent the majority of the season strolling around, not really contributing much.

Ohh right the player that on one ranking system is the 219th best player in the league in all honesty if he sorts his head out and try's next season then Fair enough but right now he looks an expensive show pony based on most of this season

Blanchflower78 Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Mahrez is going, just a question of maximising his value. Good servant and deserves his move. The sooner its done the less likely we are all to get p*****d off with him for citing it. We need to invest clearly in a strong replacement but its a big year for Gray. He could step with more coaching and guidance.

AyewJoking Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 The owners and manager could persuade him to stay by signing several quality additions to ease the reliance on him.

Nick Posted 15 May 2017 Posted 15 May 2017 I don't think he'll stay after being caught saying Chelsea were a 'real club'

Mahrez covers his mouth when he asks to go to the toilet normally! He and slim probably watched Chelsea win the league, slept in the same room, had breakfast together, travelled to the ground in the bus together and didn't mention Chelsea winning the league until they found a cameraman?? Next you'll be telling me those ribbons on the trophy on the sky games are ours!

What are you on about...Mahrez is the reason we play with low possession. The ****er constantly gives it to the opposition!

If he's going to go for sure, might as well give him an opportunity to increase his value. Stop thinking of things with emotions. This is business, Leicester will benefit more from Mahrez leaving than if stays. Why pay him 100k /week to stay in the mid table. The only reason Ranieri wanted him to stay this year was for the UCL.

A part that wasn't translated was when Mahrez said "they're a real club" Slimani replied "qui ça?" which translate to "who is?" He forgot what he was talking about mid conversation ?
ARM1968 Posted 15 May 2017 Posted 15 May 2017 His head hasn't been right this season quite obviously. It appears he has spent most of the season regretting not moving last summer. If he can sort his head out then we should try to keep him. However I think if he stays his performances will still be mediocre due to his belief that he should be at a bigger club. I dont like it at all, but it's probably best for all concerned if we sell him.

What are you on about? If Leicester sell they will benefit financially in the short-term. The risk of selling could be relegation, which is worth a lot more than Mahrez. Why pay him 100k/week? Because the club can afford it and Mahrez will do well to earn more elsewhere. Why did Payet choose West Ham, why did Defoe choose Sunderland, why did Llorente choose Swansea? Negredo at Boro, Lukaku at Everton, Rondón at WBA etc. PL clubs are rich, to compete you need to spend. 'The only reason Ranieri wanted him to stay this year was for the UCL'. Do you realise how bizarre that statement sounds? We won the Premier League, we're rich, why should we sell out prized assets?
