ARM1968 Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 It's balk you muppets. Bulk is what I have in an abundance. Anyway if the Dutch cvnt don't wanna come, fuch him. Might as well say Bjork. Kin ell you retards. .
sdb Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 £30 mill would be my limit. Just because we spunked similar money on worse players last summer doesn't make £40 on GS reasonable.
Clever Fox Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 The real problem is he hasn't expressed a wish to even talk to other Clubs. That means if Swansea really want to keep him then they can just stick to their valuation of 40 million.
Countryfox Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 No chance ... Walsh the snake will gobble up anyone we're after ...
ARM1968 Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 If he wants to stay at Swansea that to me suggests he might not be a good fit for us. However it might just be loyalty, which is fine.
Buzzell Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 Can see Everton plonking a big phat £40m on the table to blow everyone away.
eddylcfc Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 With the amount of cash the club has profited the last few years this, for me, is a worthwhile deal. 40 mill for a guy who will get double figure assists and add quality on set pieces is a bargain. If we want top quality - we need to pay top dollar! Get it done Rudders
st albans fox Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 I thought he said he didn't want to come to us. Why has this thread actually re ignited ?? Just some lazy journalism trying to make Everton's pursuit of him look interesting. ??
foxfanazer Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 I really like Siggy but £40m is an awful lot for a player who is mainly a set piece specialist. Does he have enough of an impact in open play to warrant paying that much?

ARM1968 Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 He could easily be the difference between top 10 and top 6.

I'm not saying he's not class but I'd say the majority of his goals and assists come from set pieces. Not saying that's a bad thing but I was questioning whether that's worth paying £40m for. Do we need someone that has more of an impact on general play. Sorry
Guest Posted 26 June 2017 Posted 26 June 2017 It's been at least a week since we confirmed a signing i'm getting bored. Stick some wonga on the man city boardroom table and let's have the lad asap. Just tell him we're ****ing massive.

Unless I'm mistaken (could well be) the transfer window is approximately 8 weeks right? I'd say we need one a week to fix our squad up for next year

Sorry Very valid point there, but we can't really know for sure until he plays with better players. Still, I don't like the idea of playing £40 million for him. Plus, the team really needs goals from set-pieces
