mozartfox Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 one plays cowgirl and the other missionary. There are no release clauses apparently.

dannythefox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Pay near the 40m mark and he's ours. Easy as that show some bloody ambition Leicester.

Completely agree. It's like Evans pay 20 we can have him. He'd make us solid at the back solve a lot of problems for a few seasons but we'll probably miss out
vanity Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 We have to make a statement to the rest of the world that we are serious about getting back to Europe. Pay for Sig, pay for Silva, and we suddenly are a team that players start to want to play for. We should do it this freakin' week, and then bide our time the rest of the summer picking off better deals as players start to move and the players that are left want to play for someone with a shot at the top 5.

You may be missing the point that he doesn't want to come here. I guess we could really go to town on personal terms but that could cause issues with other squad members
Nickbluefox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Usual.....we'll wait until the last minute and realise all our targets are gone, so we'll have to buy the bloke no one has heard of, who scored a wonder goal when he was 13..!!!! ? Please prove me wrong Leicester and get these players in ?
Buzzell Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Why do people assume he wouldn't be interested in coming here?

Yes players want European football but that doesn't always happen. He'd be a bit part player in a top 5/6 team
norwichfox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 still 2 months of this transfer window to go.....jeez it's a bore without a matchday

Perhaps but surely he should think he deserves a chance at a bigger club. If we came knocking with a £40m bid and nobody else matched it I would of thought he'd be very tempted to move forward.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 I'm in Swansea next week at a conference, I'll try and tap him up
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 I was in Swansea today. If I'd seen him I could have told him we could set him up with a nice pad in Highfields and a second hand BMW with a Jeff Schlupp key ring.

Guaranteed to play possibly the whole season in a better side than Swansea.

His agent could be lying to us, but so can anyone you are recruiting, just a chance you have to take. I also don't see him fitting onto a team that is poised for Europe. We are presently the only serious contender for his services other than Everton. He may wait to see how the rosters shake out, and we don't know for certain Everton will pay Swansea's price. I know Everton is going mad signing players, so they may be hard to top, but say we add Iheanacho or 26-year old Gefrel to partner with Vardy and Slimani up top, and then perhaps we snag another young defender like Ben Gibson. We would suddenly look very different. We would have a terrific young core of 20-somethings in the new additions plus Ndidi, Maguire, Chillwell, Gray all of whom have had success in the EPL, plus we'd have Drinkwater and Albrighton at 27. Suddenly LC would have strong balance between young talent and the still capable group of veterans who won the league and went QF in the CL over the last two seasons. Our roster could well begin to look persuasive. As I admitted, so will Everton's. But we can outspend them on Sig. We can show him the love, while building a potent team around him. ,
