In terms of long-term options, this signing would give us more time to develop Darnell Johnson. 2 years ago he was on the verge of joining Man Utd, but Wenger blocked the transfer. They fell out & Wenger has let him rot ever since. He'll have something to prove & imo has the potential to take Simpsons spot if he can hit the ground running.
