Stadt Posted 28 May 2017 Posted 28 May 2017 We need another rightback option but considering Debuchy's age, wage demands and injury record I'd steer clear
The whole world smiles Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Have it on very good authority that Debuchy checked into a Leicester hotel earlier today. Thoughts? We definitely need a RB. Ps I'm not an attention seeking kinda poster I would not be posting this if I wasn't 98% confident!
matty98 Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Think he'd be a good addition as long as he doesn't cost too much and doesn't want ridiculous wages
Vindaloo FOX Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Arsenal better give us him on the cheap if we are selling them Mahrez .
Gav_LCFC14 Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 He's a good short term solution, as we clearly need to give Simpson some competition, but we really need a young RB who could have that position for the next 5 years.
TJB-fox Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Great short term signing, as long as it's only for a year or so. Can't expect the owners to sign a young right back as well as a young centre back centre mid centre forward (Maguire Iheanacho Ndidi) all in a year, that just doesn't normally happen- got to embed youngsters. Next year we'll target that position I believe
Max Power Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Simpson needs competiton and Debuchy is good going forward so could play wing back also. Could be a shrewd one if he's not asking for a mega contract.
Scotch Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Would be happy with this. I don't think he's a massive improvement on Simpson but I don't reckon we need to improve on him right away. Cover for him is all we need in the short term.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Yes, I would like him here for sure... don't believe it though

Reading on the ever reliable twitter that Apparently They are prepared to release him on a free transfer as they need his place in the squad due to them having reached the foreign limit of 17
urban.spaceman Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Signing a 31 year old for competition for a 30 year old. Not for me.
bpfox Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 dont think we need a right back, think if we sign another young center back we will play with 3 at the back, thus giving more players in the middle of the park.

You need as has been stated by others a mix of young and experienced players. We are building a great mix. He would be a good and welcome addition to the team.

lgfualol Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 If it means not playing a CB or Amartey there then do it. We do love an old signing though.

Depends on the length of contact, short term competition whilst you look for the long term replacement. There is no real rush to be getting in that player now.
