Replacing Mahrez

I've always liked the look of Nathan Redmond, gives it 110% and has the ability to take players on and create chances. Think we'd stand a good chance of getting him aswell!

Lets be honest, if the club see Gray or Lawrence as his immediate replacement then we may aswell all go home now.

Because splashing out cash on crap, has fared so much better

Not hard to replace him this season is it? It's like he left last summer.

Get Gray in the starting line up. Tell him it's his chance and to take it.

We're not likely to bring in a world class player who can perform like Mahrez could at his best, unless we find him before anyone else has heard of him. What we need is a premiership quality winger. Gray can be that if given time, but we do need to bring in someone else regardless as 2 wingers just isn't enough.

                            Vardy

        Bruma         Ziyech      Albrighton

                    Ndidi           Drinky

possibly Adrien Silva as a creative deep lying midfielder. Also, Slimani & Ulloa as goal threats with gray & Lawrence as back up wingers. Thoughts? Is that realistic?

not really. Albrighton, Ndidi, drinkwater and gray is a decent midfield.

bench we can have james, lawrence, chilwell, king etc.

What I am certainly not joking about is what a waste the end of the season was for us. We have known Mahrez was leaving for a long time, As soon as we lost to Atletico we should have played Gray every game, and test how good he is for us. If not for injuries Chilwell would not have even played. Amartey apparently is a cb, he played about 10 minutes there end of season. He could have started and we see if he is good enough for this year.

Totally agree with this. It was absolutely stupid to continue picking Mahrez when a) he was out of form b)we knew he was leaving and c) we were risking convincing Gray he was better off somewhere else.

I would like Walcott but think he likes to play unfront not out on the wing. I suppose he could play both him an Vardy would cause some trouble with there pace.

We should go for Gabigol. Like for like replacement for Mahrez on the right.

if not then I personally think we should sign a couple of centre backs, go to a 5-3-2 with Albrighton on the right. Then sign one of Ziyech or Sigurdsson to play behind Vardy & Slimani. I think this formation will bring the best out of both Slimani & Vardy n we don't have to worry about acomadating for Mahrez.

At times I feel we have changed our style certain ways just to accommodate Mahrez even if he's playing poor.

Quite incredible that gray didn't play a lot more after we were safe really and mahrez carried on playing every game

I actually think marhez will be amazing in a team that plays 3 up top. He isnt a 442 player and had to much tracking back to do in a team with little of the ball this year. He showed in 15/16 wot he is capable of and in a team with more of the ball and that play 3 up top would in my opinion be 1 of the best in the league again. Marhez is not the sort of player that should be tracking back but obviously in our team everyone needs to be doing there job and working at 100% so i do think this transfer is going to be best for marhez and Leicester

Boudebouz - outstanding productivity, and trickery (Algerian and not too dissimilar in style to Mahrez)

Bruma - better than Gray, still some work/coaching on end product required. Galatasary fans on the whole, would be pissed at him leaving which is a good sign.

Ziyech - although he's generally used more as a CAM. Has a wand of a cross however. Forget the Europa final, no movement at all from Ajax players.

Probably not the most glamorous of shouts but I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Phillips here. Not shy of putting in a graft, similar stats to Albrighton, wouldnt coat a fortune and isn't unrealistic.

Having him on one flank and Albrighton on the other, would require a more creative No.10 but would offer more balance and not leave us so exposed defensively.

We won't, Mahrez is one of a kind and will be sorely missed....Gray no chance, he will bugger off to Liverpool, never play and then end up at West Brom for a few years before succumbing to the championship.
