Just come inside and read the news. Have to say i feel deeply saddened that the little man had to go. Was playing with my 4 year old and 2 year old having fun. Now his family cant do the same. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends right now.

Bradley, you were an absolute inspiration to all. May god bless you xoxo

With the sad events of today surrounding this courageous young man, and many others with his condition, having seen there was no topic regarding him I felt obliged to open one(mods please move the topic if another has opened)

its not often I cry but seing the happiness football gave this lad reduced me to tears,

the sincerity of Jermaine Defoe towards him showed how human most footballers are,

As tragic as his death is,

the awareness this amazing child as brought to us all will hopefully prolong the lives of others, cancer will not beat us,

rest in peace young man:(

God will undoubtedly bless him, just like this little man blessed so many of us with his infectious smile and happiness fighting the most horrible of illnesses. Hard to imagine the pain and hurt his family and friends are feeling now but in time they will come to remember how he lived his life and how he inspired and united so many. RIP little man

He had a short but significant life and he has probably achieved more than many do in a long life. He seemed a very sweet kid and my heart goes out to his parents, I hope they find some comfort from how many people's heart he touched. RIP

Rest Peacefully Bradley.

Massive condolences to his mum and dad

RIP, so sad and thoughts are with his family.

What an absolute legend he was for such a young boy. Got to take the field with his heroes whilst simultaneously raising so much money and awareness to neuroblastoma.

These things certainly put life into perspective, but Bradley was joyous in such adversity, it's hard to be like that, but that is an example for us as adults or whatever age we are., I will say a prayer for him and say prayers for his family.

A friend of mine had his uncle's funeral yesterday, but his dad passed away yesterday morning, It seems heaven/ next world or whatever you want to call it, is our calling, we just have to strive in this life to be the best we can be, and help and be of service to others.

I've read about Bradley in a few stories over the years. My heartfelt condolences to the family, who did everything they could to cheer up a lethally ill kid. And kudos to Jermain Defoe for showing that footballers can have a soft side to them ("Trying to be strong for life"). That Bradley made it this far is a testament to his willpower and joyous nature. I'll always remember him as the energetic and charming young man who was all about Sunderland AFC, bossing other kids around in the Sunderland locker room. :chant:

RIP. His bravery will inspire many in the same situation as himself. Thoughts are with the family.

Fair play to the Sunderland and the other Premier League teams for helping bring attention to such tragedies in an optimistic and encouraging manner. Goes to show how football can unite us at the end of the day while overlooking trivial things like money and rivalries.

So, so sad. I don't know the background to his illness but I guess I'm surprised in today's world of modern science and technology that there was no more they could do for the little fella :(

I've been really touched by how Defoe has taken him to his heart and shown him such love. In times where professional footballers deservedly get a lot of stick sometimes, I think he's been a shining example of compassion and humility.

Yep couldn't agree more
