The fact that the original thread was locked means this is very bittersweet for me.

I realise this saga has been boring and frustrating and enthusiasm has waned as a result but think back to when we were first linked with this guy. Seem to remember most peoples' reaction was along the lines of 'noway, he's too good, city wouldn't sell him, he wouldn't come here, too good to be true'  and now it looks like we've actually got him! Assuming we get the deal over the line now this is a massive coup for the club and I feel like we should all be very excited. Can't wait to see him in action :D
