It's more that previously it's been speculated he's had a medical but now reliable sources are coming out to say it's happening today, in short it's light at the end of the tunnel. I personally don't see why we couldn't sign him and sort this agent stuff out in the background.

Probably because the club wanted to be sure that this legal matter wasn't going to come back and bite them on the ar*e? It wouldn't surprise me at all if it was our end holding up the deal, and rightly so, while they sought out reassurances that he wasn't going to be banned, jailed or anything else that would affect him and actually stop him from playing for us
