49er Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 These so-called 'pundits' are really annoying. Gary Neville is viewed as being some sort of 'expert', but failed as manager of Valencia and, let's not forget, Woy's right hand man. Murphy and Jenas were very average players. Savage is in the same league - how on earth has he managed to get to where he is? The lot on Sky - Thompson, Nicholas, Le Tissier, Cottee and, in particular, Merson are incomprehensible - it's difficult to work out what has happened at a game they are covering. Talk Sport are probably worse - Brazil, Cascarino, Ashton and Perry Groves (did nothing whatsoever at the top level). I have alot of respect for Henry (he's command of English, as a second language, is wonderful) and Souness (a success at Liverpool, and a classy player). Bring back Jimmy Hill! A few comments after a game, and you move on to the next one. Not half an hour of tripe!

Well done, Gary!
Guest Danny Clender Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 You can't help be annoyed by what he said, it's so belittling, but I think what Danny Murphy says hurts because its true. Which player who plays outside of Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG, Bayern Munich, Chelsea would not be too good for their club on their day? Alli, Kane, Sanchez, Ozil, Mbappe, Coutinho, Mane? all too good for their clubs on their day. If any of Vardy, Schmeichel, Drinkwater, Ndidi, Maguire, Chilwell have a great game they too will be deemed "too good for Leicester" Yeah, best hear it and not even think about it, we have good players and it's a nice compliment.
MC Prussian Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 We can count ourselves lucky that we've seen a player like Mahrez join our club (it's a fairytale story in itself, admit it) and be part of a fantastic couple of years, the most successful period ever. I don't get the hate or dislike for Murphy. He's right. On the whole and from the outside, Mahrez is too good for Leicester. But as long as Mahrez still is at Leicester, there's no point in discussing whether he's staying or leaving. I do hope he continues to shine for us, he's visibly gotten better or more consistent again, back to his old self. Whether that's part of him trying to put himself in the shopping window or just him coming back to his senses, I don't care. Either way, we'll get the best out of it as fans. At some point, you've just got to accept that in today's football, nothing lasts forever and that club loyalty is a thing of the past. Players move on, and so should we. So I don't see the point of getting so wound up over a comment by Danny fvcking Murphy.
Dr The Singh Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 People say I've outgrown Foxestalk, but I chose to remain, until barcelonatalk come knocking

Corky Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 He may have a point but until somebody meets our asking price he'll be playing for us.
Countryfox Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 How the fook are we going to build a better team if, every time we get a talented player the whole fookin world thinks he should go to a bigger team ! .... I despair ... What about contracts that players sign, the fantastic (no fookin unbelievable!) salaries that they earn, the amazing lifestyles that they have ... the word loyalty counts for Jack sh1t. If you want to leave fine ... Don't sign a new contract and put in a transfer request at the earliest opportunity. Know your place little Leicester and don't get ideas above your station ...
foxinsocks Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 He is soooo last year. Not too goid f or this years leicester

All it does is prove how pathetic his knowledge of football is. Yes, Mahrez played well yesterday; but he's been a passenger in the PL for 12 months with many including me crying out for him to benched. His comments as you say are insulting, born from ignorance of what Mahrez did in the previous 40 PL games!
