I'm not sure he will want to come back at all. It wasn't a good time for him !

Shakey clearly wants him to get game time. Anything else is guessing.

It's an educated guess then, based on a the fact that since he's been available he's not been in the match day squads for the PL, on the fact that Shakey didn't even trust him to start against Sheffield Utd and that the manager would rather he got fit by not being with us for 12 months. Judging by the players' own moaning in the press, he wasn't expecting a chance here at the KP. Feel free to remind me of this when he comes back after 12 months as a starter for LCFC but I very much doubt it.

Yes, it bloody was. He was out of his depth from the off. he was as translucent as Kingy and never going to cut it at this level. Hence the clubs sigh of relief to off load him.  take my word he will never kick a ball for us again.

Out of his depth lollol

He was shite from the off. Never made any impact in the few times he did play, anonymous as Kingy on a good day.

Good riddance . Yes it wasn't his fault he struggled with injury  but what was his fault was his attitude of openly wanting to get out of here as quickly as possible . If he had any think about him he would have wanted to try and prove himself and fight to turn the situation round . Club doesn't need quitters .

Good post. Worst signing the club has ever made if you take into account the fee and his salary.

'Good riddance' to a player that never got a chance is a 'good post'?! Come on.

Its like getting  a new job, immediately getting a serious illness and then People saying 'piss off' once you've recovered.

These people would have hated Darren Eadie.

Loved Darren Eadie, Rob Ullathorne and Matt Jones and at least they attempted a comeback at our club, Mendy got fit and just wanted to jump ship. Waste of time and money.

Exactly this , it's not the fact he's been out injured as I originally said  , its the fact he couldnt get out of here quick enough and said it publicly without trying to really prove himself .

I believe that Nice have an option to buy at the end of the loan so whether he comes back is up to him.

Hope not.

Loser.  Quitting on us as soon as he got fit.  No attempt to justify the faith and money that the club have put into his transfer.

Worst signing since Dennis Wise.

We don't know the ins and outs though. Maybe Shakey told him he wasn't in our plans so the best thing for him would be to find a new club.

You do realise that social media didn't exist back then? We haven't a clue about their attitudes.

Ullathorne said he'd wouldn't sign a new contract with us before he got injured. god knows why O'Neil gave him a contract then.

Not if he read half of the crap said about him on this forum.

Mendy featured in Nice's 4-0 thrashing of Monaco today.  He only came on for the last 5 mins when already 4-0 up but thought I'd just share that he got some mins for those interested in knowing
