Captain... Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 The whole formation and attitude is just wrong. Ox is shot, he needs a good run of games at Liverpool as Arsenal have ruined him. We need to get the basics right, too many players trying to do too much. Just make the simple pass make the sensible run and give it 100% effort and stop making basic mistakes. Finally pick a proper team. Balance is more important than fitting in the best players, you can't have 2 attacking full backs a midfielder as attacking as Ali, Rashford as a wide forward and Ox just stinking the place up.

The other thing is that "balance" doesn't then get achieved by sticking two defensive midfielders in the centre of the pitch. As it is we have nobody linking defence and attack. The team is crying out for a Carrick of 5-10 years ago.

Exactly, you can't balance out being massively exposed on the flanks with 2 players sitting in front of the defence.
